Bullet Punching Scizor will live up to its hype. People doubt it because Steel has poor coverage in attacking, but I see good things happening with it regardless. However, what Scizor would love to have even more is some kind of Rock move to scare Gyarados/Salamence/Flyers away.
Dragonite can rape the UU metagame. There’s a bright side to it all, unlike Garchomp stuck in a no-win.
Honestly I haven’t had much luck with BP Scizor. He doesn’t kill as much as I’d like unless I Swords Dance. And it’s hard to get an SD in because despite it’s resistances, it doesn’t like to get hit.
Ice Beamers have been in the game before and there aren’t any new Ice Beamers this gen so I don’t see what really has changed. What has changed is his offensive attributes. Eliminating Focus Punch for Superpower makes offense less of a guessing game and keeps your opponent on their toes even more.
Salamence is disgusting but he can’t switch in on a say, a CS Heatran’s Fire Blast unscathed even if it’s NVE, if need be Dragonite can do so.
Bullet Punch Scizor will be formidable as long as people aren’t using Scizor solely for Bullet Punch.
Anyone Here play the Pokemon Trading card game? My girlfriend and I just got into it, kind of by accident really. We bought them for my daughter who loves pokemon, but she didn’t want to have anything to do with them, she just wants to play pokemon ranch all day long. Seriously. Anyway, any suggestions on where to get good cards? I’m looking more on where to get some complete decks and stuff for starters. I’d ebay it, but I don’t really know what I’m looking for.
Currently, I just have a 2 player trainer kit, and a couple of theme decks.
There is a java based app like shoddy available.
the game is fun but it is very light, and I hate how they distribute rares (all 2nd stages, and basically any basic that has no evos).
It’s more of a tank than a wall, so it isn’t required to have a recovery move, but a Crocune style set with Sleep talk and Iron Defense would be a pain to take down.
