I wish I did…but these pkmn (well 2 of them) were experimental MS and spreads (looked up some Smogon sets and preads and modified them to my liking)

so i decided to run Insonmia Honchkrow as lead to counter all the sleep inducers leads (bronzong, gengar, roserade, crobat, smeargle, etc.). The funny thing is that from all the matches i had today, guess how many sleep inducers leads i ran into?

That’s perfectly fine since you aren’t really the trainer I want to challenge. A steel/ground type trainer goes a long way in the metagame I’m afraid
Every time I think about a Buterfree beating a Scizor it makes my blood boil. It’s about time gained superior dominance over Mag, with the appropriate counters ready I’m waiting until I see him around.
there dont seem to really be any established trends yet, as not enough people play doubles. team synergy is pretty much key, even moreso than in singles because so many pokemon work together in so many ways. also, doubles are so complex that it’d take a great many people playing and a great length of time to develop a standard metagame
heh, my most successful lead in wifi battle tower… however in a real battle i would think it’s a pretty poor lead regardless. you wouldn’t WANT to run into bronzong, as it’d gladly take the free opportunity to setup on you since honchkrow does jack shit to steels, and honchkrow doesn’t really have much to set up for your team. unless you had taunt of course, but then there are faster taunters and taunt shuts down hypnosis anyway negating insomnia’s importance. insomnia is great for getting a free switch in into say breloom or smeargle, moreso than standard faceoffs

Hmm…half of that team is EQ fodder and Flamethrower…infernape would pound 4/6 of your team. what’s each pkmn’s purpose? I personally say look at either dropping Magnezone or Jolt since you don’t need 2 elecs on your team…
