i just got to the snowpoint city… and im’ working on building up my team to fight the elite four and whatnot…

My team sucks right now… they’re all around level 40… been EV training as much as I can for Bronzong and Murkrow… the rest just suck… i need some electricity in there, and a better fire pokemon… i don’t know where i can catch such…
I could hook you up with a Fire pokemon or an electric. Just tell me which pokemon you want and I’ll give it to you. :tup:
i don’t even know what to look for anymore… shit’s become so different since i last played…
i want tog et rid of ponyta and graveller… but i don’t know what i should replace them with… i plan on gettig rid of empoleon once i beat the game and get my kingdra, and graveller for tyranitar…
i’m seriously at a complete loss though as to what i should do.
Same as Sand Atk, but different animation. 
Fire pokemon come rare in Sinnoh, you might have to trade to get the best ones especially since you have Empoleon and not Infernape. Golem has always underachieved since R/B, it’s better to drop him for something better and not prone to so many attacks.
thats why i’m importing my tyranitar when i beat the game… but i need something to hold me over so that the normal people that i fight and wild pokemon aren’t scraping me… im’ tired of almost losing to wild sneazel.
i just restarted my pearl. i was thinking if anyone can hook it up with a cranidos fossil and a pupitar. pm me if you can help me out. trying to go for a sandstorm team or a sunny day team. i dunno yet
Why are evasion moves banned when there are moves that have 100% hit rate such as Aerial Ace?
Because AA, for example, becomes less likely to hit even after 2 DTs. This gives the opposition an unfair advantage almost immediately.
Wait. I thought AA never missed even if my opponent uses DT?
unfortunetly they are ok…though what makes them different than say DT and minimize is you can switch out your pkmn and then your evasion is back to normal where as DT and minimize affect your opponent and thus even phazing moves like Roar and Whirlwind can miss :bluu:
thus the game is forced into a game of luck…I’m surprised people still ask why the evasion moves are banned…
Oh yeah I forgot about that ability factor, yet with such a weak base power who would want to depend on something such as AA to win most battles?
AA is really the only never miss move anyone uses in competitive play aside from Aura Sphere but Aura Sphere is only used by 2 pkmn in standard play…the idea is highly situational though so it’s not enough to justify having on every team you make a pkmn with a never miss move unless they more more never miss moves that are stronger but then it would off balance them in theory due to the fact that they’re purpose is they’re weak moves but the trade off is they NEVER miss…
only way to balance like say a base 90 power move that never misses is give it only 5pp

One of my friends that I play Pokemon against has an Umbreon with: Toxic, Rest, Double Team, and Baton Pass. No matter how many times he DTs, my other friend and I always get him with Aerial Ace and Aura Sphere.
I leveled up a Glaceon with a similar moveset, but with Ice Beam instead of Rest. Its stats are VERY balanced though. like 250-300 sooo I dunno how that’ll work. Haven’t battled with it yet. If it’s not that great, I’ll probably re-breed and raise another Glaceon.
Also, I need to re-breed my Lucario, but not sure how I should go around with it. I was thinking of making it a choice scarfer/spc. sweeper. Thoughts?
There aren’t too many good hazers to depend on against an OU type metagame. If DT were allowed I’m sure we’d see more foresighters, but people would probably prefer sweeper sets over them.
Umbreon should shrug off AA, even if it’s a STAB with it’s great defenses. It doesn’t like AS, but it can still BP all that over to a counter.
Glaceon has a nice special atk. take full advantge of it. It’s not a great rester, I’d give it HP fighting or wish.
Lucario can be mixed, special, stall, or phys. - I’ve seen some spec lucs before but most carry a life orb. It’s got OK speed over some OU poke, I guess it’s whatever you feel more safer with.

again thanks to moves like stealth rock and shit we ALL have to worry about what ifs and thus forces us to all have a rapid spinner or pkmn that resist the rocks. allowing DT to be ok to use again forces luck to occur…yeah haze can be used but…how many pkmn can use it practically? roar and WW are better because they get rid of the pkmn and any stat boosts it has plus a LOT of pkmn can phaze thus making it easier to utilize.
welll way to go on knowing your friends MS…I encountered a team on gamefaqs that did NOT follow my no DT rule…and thus made an attempt to force luck by using DT protect wish and payback…incedibally annoying since I don’t have pkmn that really use no miss moves aside from maybe 2 out of my roster of 40+ pkmn.
in the end, I managed to beat him after a 2 hour ordeal…only to hear him make a remark about wanting to steal some of my pkmn sets to further make annoying teams… :annoy:

funny we mention the DT issue again since I heard you running through battle tower…did you actually beat it? or has the cpu given you the finger?
as for my new stuff…you know I post vids online now and again…they give ya a few basic ideas on what I have been running and a few experiments and fun stuff to mix it up and not always show I whore OU
Yup I beat it and got the gold trophy and a extra star on my trainers card.
