Trace is too good. I use to use Choice Scarfed Timid Porygon-Z as a lead, on shoddy is did pretty well. The Porygons are awesome.
I prefer to use Modest- I just can’t turn down that extra Sp.Att. power.
gg Travis. I couldn’t set up most of my combos
GG allan, Earthquake effects everyone but since gyara is part flying type I took that into consideration.
Bronzong was a support guy. Ready to explode and rest or create barriers with the support of light clay.
I use a Timid Choice Specs, should I use a Modest Choice Scarf?
Earthquake’s damage is split amongst the other three Pokemon on the field though. Same with other moves that damage more than one pokemon at a time. Like you
That’s a good question. I wonder which one would be: (a) faster? and (b) stronger? :wonder:
anyone run ubers?
That’s what I meant :looney: however I knew what was doing trust me  and it payed off to a degree. The only person I damaged with EQ was Kingdra, but that’s a small price to pay when not only it can attack first but survive the impact. RD + Damp Rock = endless showers, and it boosted waterfall.
what rules do you use?
(cut and pasted from the first page)
-no ubers (list of uber here:http://www.smogon.com/forums/showthread.php?t=29788)
-Sleep clause, YOU can only put to sleep one of the opponents pokemon, does not include opponents sending their own to sleep with rest
-Evasion ban, moves like minimize/double team/sand attack are banned, items like bright powder and lax incense are ok
-Species clause, no more than one of a pokemon on a team (no 2x gengar or whatever)
-OHKO ban, no fissure/guillotine/sheer cold/horndrill
Most of the time people go by:
6 vs. 6
No ubers - You can’t use ubers
Sleep Clause - You can only put one Pokemon asleep at a time.
Evasion Clause - Can’t moves that increase evasion, like double team.
OHKO Clause - You can’t use One hit KO moves.
If thats what you were asking. ><
:edit: Blah 2 u Guru. =l
:razzy:
^ sorry for missin the first page, is just that i saw leftovers in many pokemon and i thought “that couldnt be standard rules because of the no duplicate item rule”
Most of us don’t play with item clause. If you want to battle with item clause (or with/without any other clause) just say so in your post prior to battle.
I ve played since blue in old GB but till a couple of weeks ago i didnt know about competitive pokemon battles. I checked a guide in gamefaqs about competitive sets and i learned about sweepers, shufflers, walls and stuff. Now ive seen a some wi fi battles and im really surprised. I wish i had a DS bc ive played all versions in emulators only (except for blue and yellow version). Maybe in a couple of months ill get one and start training my own team. Sigh, and i used to thought beedrill and fearow were good pokemon… at least ive always trained a vaporeon and a dragonite.
Bug-types are OP, especially Ledian.
I hate liking Yanma more than I do Yanmega. It makes me want to test out how good the little one would do trying to fill in its evolution’s shoes…
perhaps I should add on that even though we say no ubers, you can request an uber pkmn battle…and hope someone will play ya (like i did above )
of all the normal/flying types your best bets are Swellow or Staraptor…check their stats and movesets and you’ll see why
well there’s some who do play a NFE team…(Not For Evolution) that have messed up fully evolved teams…very gutsy but very satisfying to win with.
^ Clampearl Tr Sweep Ftw!
ok well if anyone wants to throw down on pkmn hit me up!
still wrong, sand attack/flash are allowed >=(
what about smokescreen?
