Man, the rumors were true, Resistance 3 beta’s graphics are hideous. Sarah Farley’s model during the killcam looks like it belongs on the PSP :sad:
What is worse is the fact the game just feels odd as an FPS. It is too zoomed in and the sprinting looks clunky. Serious having a beta like that is going to throw a lot of people off.
I want to rent Deus EX, Dead Island and Resistance 3. I don’t want to drop a shitload of money on them because they seem like games that I’ll play and drop pretty quickly.
What’s even more sad is that the multiplayer has gone from a 64 player cap to 12 player cap and seems to have incorporated a bunch of things from the CoD franchise. I thought the drop in players was cause of better graphics…I guess not. :sad:
Wish game shops had a discount for the holidays now =/ …but will be getting Deux Ex and Catherine (if I’m luck I may find used copies =p)

I haven’t really kept up with Dead Island, I hope it becomes the new Left 4 Dead. Buy Section 8 Prejudice, it’s seriously better than any FPS game I’ve played in the past year and I’ve played literally every FPS released this year. It’s more fun than any 60$ FPS game I’ve played all year and it has more content and better multiplayer than any other FPS game I’ve played this year as well, at 15$. Gameplay’s a weird mix of Tribes, Killzone and Unreal Tournament/Quake but damn is it ever good. I’m trying to save my $$ for GoW: Origins, Dark Souls(gonna pre-order it soon for the LE. Missed out on the Demon’s Souls LE.) MGS Collection, and maybe Rage. I know there are some other games I might want for October/November but I can’t remember them atm.
No More Heroes is pretty good, I beat the 2nd boss and stopped playing. Think I might fire it back up here in a sec, though how do I parry bullets? The game reminds of Yakuza a bit for some reason. I don’t like that you have to charge your weapon’s power back, and I don’t like having to grind money advance the story, but other than that, it’s a lot of fun.
EPIC MEAL TIME should endorse this.
I hope. It will look nice using the “arc” system. Hopefully this doesnt follow the melty blood route.
I wish Phil Hartman was still around. He would have been the perfect voice for Deathspank. Whoever does the voice now is great in all…but Phil fucking Hartman.

Well it seems like the team actually cares about this franchise, unlike what happened with HnK and BASARA, so hopefully it won’t end up like those.
we’ll see if it becomes the new LFD, it seems like it has too different of feel for it to do that, like it’s not AS fast paced and is more “deliberate” in its gameplay. ive been playing crysis 2 multiplayer, i like it just because it’s different and feels faster than most and you can actually play fast and aggressive. there are some japanese dudes who play and are pretty ridiculous. the resistance 3 multiplayer beta is out right now to try for free so im going to see how that is. right now im sort of in the same boat as you, going to get dark souls, rage, dead island for sure. then probably uncharted 3.

or I could just buy it when it comes out and download the minor updates for free like they’ve been doing already. They only actually ask you to pay for major updates.
