What I don’t get is: If there is content intended for DLC in the near future, why keep it in the disc anyways? Why not just have said content be a100-200 MB install to your console’s HDD?
One reason is, they have to pay the bandwidth to distribute it. Other is they can fully test it out ahead of time completed and know everything works in a single package.
I mean: if you want to play the full game, you HAVE to buy the $60 disk AND give us MORE money to unlock all the content on the disk you bought.
Thats all.
People don’t want to face the reality that these companies are taking advantage of them, so they want the people who are complaining, the people who are protesting with their wallet and on the internet, to just shut up so they can give these companies whatever funds they want for a complete disk without fealing guilty.
They’d rather live in a world where everyone just accepts being taken advantage of with day 1 DLC/DLC on the disk, than sacrifice playing their favorite game on day one to make a stand on something that is clearly wrong.
These people have no real argument against these protests. This is what I hear from them:

I’m still waiting for a reason why we should support this. Like several of you, I’ve cancelled my SXT pre-order (I also did the same for ME3, BTW). Until I hear a reason why I should accept this business practice, I will continue not supporting it.
I don’t think that anybody in here implied that you should support it.
I think what was implied was simply that nobody wanted to hear about you not supporting it, because they simply don’t care whether you do or not.

The thing is too he lives in Philly and has 3 of the major fighting game tourney’s there (NEC, Winter Brawl, and Summer Jam). He could easily get a consensus on everything about the community. I actually looked at his facebook page and he keeps wondering why the competitive community would buy SFxT despite the DLC fiasco? He’d better off going to those tourney’s asking around.
I want a video of him walking around at a tourny asking players questions…or something a little different other than him just sitting there.
