I’ve been destroying Rage on the hardest difficulty the past few days. I haven’t played any of my other games since I decided to start this up a few days ago, the gameplay is just too fucking good. Weapons having different ammo types is awesome…My shotgun can turn into a grenade launcher and my pistol can turn into a shotgun, for example. The overworld is basically Twisted Metal until you reach your destination or you decide to just evade Sweet Tooth and his homies.
I’m gonna finish it in the next few days, then go back to Dead Island or Dead Rising 2: Off the Record. Maybe I’ll play more Space Marine online or go back to Uncharted 3.
I see, that makes sense. I still think you should go back to Y3 after you finish 4, it’s overall a better game. Game’s a lot more focused too since you only play as one character.
Anyone finished Uncharted 3 on Crushing difficulty? Any tips for playing through it since that’s the difficulty I’ll be playing on.
Spent some more hours in Stranger’s Wrath today, taking down bosses alive is annoying on hard since their stamina gauge recovers, but otherwise it was fun.
ya rage is super good, im not sure what people’s gripes with it were. i havent seen a game run that smooth on a console in a long time if ever. the gameplay was amazing, it didnt even try that hard and it was still better than most FPS games this generation.
I suck at video games… I’ve been playing InFamous since we got it free on PSN, and I still haven’t beaten it… I’m up to that stupid mission where you gotta chase balloons around and the citizens are all beating you up.
It’s so needlessly long, tedious, and repetitive. It reminds me of in MGS when you had to go back for the sniper rifle and other misc. bullshit like that. How do people play through this game 2 or more times to get all the trophies? This shit is so boring… I can’t get myself to grind through it. EV training in Pokemon is less annoying than this.
I don’t remember that inFAMOUS 1 mission being so bad. I do remember fucking up a few times doing it though, but I have that NES/SNES era gamer patience where I don’t quit until I beat that specific area, regardless of difficulty/frustration.
The only gripes I have are the texture streaming and the graphics not being as amazing as I thought they were going to be, but it still looks better than 99% of the games out there so I can’t hate too much. I hope when Doom 4 comes out they modify the hell out of the engine to have better detailed textures+less texture streaming. The only games that are in-league graphically that I’ve played are Killzone 2/3, Uncharted 2/3 and Crysis 1 off of PSN. Maybe Battlefield, but I haven’t played it yet.
8GB, probably the biggest game I’ve ever had to install. I think the only games with bigger installs are full games off of PSN and DCUO(?)
I just heard about the HOTD3 and 4 re-releases, too. Man, I wish I had a move+gun. I wouldn’t even play move supported games, I’d just cop a shitload of lightgun shooters and play those exclusively. HOTD3, 4 and HOTD: Overkill, the Resident Evil chronicles games, Time Crisis…it’d be like the 90’s again, except, I’d be shooting motherfuckers…wirelessly!
Yeah, it’s very boring and I wanted to end it quickly. Combat can be challenging and that’s it. I did enjoy crushing those annoying as hell enemies. Mixing up basic strikes with shockwaves and grenades. It’s really not a bad game but I wouldn’t play it again though.
The only thing I have against Batman is that they should have made the game more challenging. Because I love stomping thugs down in combat maps. So good when you get a high combo count going. Stealth should have been more challenging too. Suck ass that I have to beat the game on hard and redo getting the Riddler trophies again to turn off the warning signs for campaign and challenge maps. WTF is the point of New Game Plus…
I HATED that. Hey, time for a new awesome power up! Where you ask? HAHAHAH In the sewers again! Devs need to learn that no one ever likes sewer levels.
