Hmm Stranger’s wrath is an action adventure game but it’s combat can be a mix of 3rd person combat and FPS shooting. Altho more often than not you’ll use the crossbow to take out enemies. It’s still a fun game and from what I’ve heard takes around 20-30 hours to beat, so it’s that long.
The developers have mentioned that they plan on bringin Munch’s Odysee to PSN as well which is pretty cool since it’s an adventure game with puzzles (although less violent than the first two Abe games which I personally don’t mind =P)
…and at long friggin’ last I finall beat this friggin’ stage-

Sheeeit, I’ll get back on Modnation Racers soon as well (heh, maybe even this weekend)… it was basically the main thing I played on this system, with only the recent Bleach game distracting me from the MNR addiction for awhile. Haha, I say this as a person whose PS3 hasn’t even been on in a few months. (*Some things on That Other System™ have dominated my game time lately…oh and that reminds me, it appears PS3 players out there shouldn’t even bother getting Skyrim on this system.)
Oh yeah, one great thing about this trophies and achievements era in gaming is that it kinda cuts down on the lies so many gamers tell. I’m sure most folks from my generation remember the immediate skepticism when anyone claimed to have beaten Battletoads or something else ridiculous. An achievements/trophy online system back then would’ve revealed the truth to everyone (*that only 3 people or so in the world could beat it… of course with one of those people being Jesus Christ.). Now you can’t really just lie about the shit…
heh, I also just remembered the more recent old days of Smash Bros. Melee, with this one guy on the gamefaqs boards claiming he beat Very Hard All-Star mode with PICHU… with a “No Damage Clear”. Yeah, sure. See, achievements and trophies could’ve properly exposed that bullshit. (*Of course, he and others like him probably would’ve just said "Well, I wasn’t actually online when I did it…")
I still don’t have Bastion, and unfortunately I missed the 50% off sale that happened a few days ago…that sale was only for that 1 day, sadly. It’s incredible to see just how much good stuff is out there in the industry now. It is impossible to keep up with all the games that interest me at this point. I’ve been on Gears 3, Skyrim and Saint’s Row 3 lately…all are games with an insane amount of replay value, imo.
*sidenote— just one quick reason why that dude’s claim was so off the charts and unbelievable, for those that don’t know or never played the Smash Bros. games–> Pichu is a character that actually hurts itself with about half of his move-set…and remember that part of his claim was that he got the “No Damage Clear!” bonus. All-Star mode also happens to be the hardest mode in the game, with you having to fight multiple opponents at the same time, with the usual stage hazards in play as well. Oh and it gets even better… Pichu also has the absolute worst range I’ve ever seen in the history of fighting games (*or “games that involve fighting”, for the silly ones out there that don’t want to call this a fighting game for some odd reason.). Really, it’s like being in a boxing match as a guy with no arms. That character is such a joke. Actually, he might even be the worst fighting game character of all time. I forgot to also add that the damage he dishes out is, of course, pathetic. Pichu sucks so much ass it almost deserves a whole thread dedicated to pointing out just how sorry this character is.
That stage was free, Never had any difficulty with it.
And in commemoration of my returning to MNR, I’m gonna start weekly MNR creation hightlights. Every weekend, I’ll record a video containing 3 mods, 3 karts, and 3 stages that I thought were really impressive, and post them on SRK. There will be pictures too.
I’ll be using this ‘project’ to up my editing skills, to prepare for Evo 2012. Depending on what games get announced, I may need to start up another combo video project that will be displayed at Evo, if the Evo admins review and okay it. I did this last year as well, but we had some last minute issues on my end that prevented it from being shown at Evo 2011.
So yeah, even if you don’t like MNR (How is that possible?), check the vids out and at least give me feedback on the editing.
Moving on, there may be a New Years stream, starting tonight and spanning over the weekend. I stay inside to stay out of trouble and to not be tempted to drink booze, so I’ll have a lot of free time to stream shit over the weekend; same deal as Thanksgiving and X-Mas. Yes, there will be a Valkyria Chronicles stream, and yes, that son of a bitch Musaad will die. Check the sig.
