Yea I am missing Negative Edge quite a bit. I wouldn’t say it’s a crutch but its certainly a nice feature. Just need to adjust.
That was meant to read:
Fuck yo couch, Beta.
But then I saw the stains on your stream, and realized you were waaaaaay ahead of me and my commentary.

I find this funny, considering how long negative edge has been around.

EXACTLY.
So then - why don’t you like sports games, White Boy?
I’m curious to see how closely your answer mirrors my own opinion.
Medievil?
Is that the arcade football game where you shank opposing players with broadswords and the like?
Keep in mind that if you cross someone who knows what they’re doing, the punishment can be severe. Not kidding. I recall one arcade match that had K’ vs Takuma. And the K’ player did a HP DP. It’s like Ken’s Fierce SRK in ST or HDR. This is KOF. People can cover or create space pretty quickly. So K’ has his DP blocked… Takuma then runs up and beats the shit out of him. So bad it kills K’. I’m talking like K’ is at 75%-80% life here. One mistake and he was slaughtered.
Sounds positively Japanese GGXX robot-esque.
i.e. Awesome, yet probably unattainable for the amount of work and time I am willing to invest in it.

I can’t do it myself and it’ll be months maybe before I can. See this? SNKP knows about this. It’s still in the game but they just made the timing more strict:

I saw some dude on one of the more recent streams(SCR or NEC, one of the two) do a 100% damage combo to somebody by using both bars of meter on them. If someone has their DP blocked they should be punished, fuck an FADC.
man i wish they hadn’t drawn takuma’s outfit so loose they make him look fat as hell
what a productive week. finished RDR:undead nightmare and batman:ac. been a while since i’ve done anything like that. i’m pretty proud of myself.
week isn’t over yet either.
Saw Enslaved for $9 on Amazon…copped it.
Yeah it’s by Ninja Theory…but I’m willing to try this game out because Andy Serkis is awesome.
Decided to take my PS3 to the shop one more time.
I can’t spare for a new one right now…and I don’t want my + to go to waste anymore than I have let it.
Hopefully they don’t damage my KoF 13 disc.
I loved Heavenly Sword. It’s one of those games that I think if they delayed it and really put some polish on it, it would have been amazing. IMO, It had some of the best, most memorable characters in recent gaming history. Bohan and Flying Fox were too awesome.
Is that pozer on your account?

lol - it was just one of the first games that I felt was truly “Next Gen” to me. I felt that the characters’ facial expressions, personas, and voice acting were all legit. I honestly enjoyed it, but am not crazy enough to not see the reasons why others didn’t feel the same way.
enslaved is an okay game, it just isn’t a fun game. nothing about enslaved is “fun”. the climbing/platforming isn’t fun. combat isn’t fun. stealth isn’t fun. solving puzzles isn’t fun. collecting isn’t fun. the characters and the story aren’t fun.
the game does look amazing. its color palette is a feast for the eyes. the characters have an artistic flair that is pretty amazing. in concept, the game has alot going for it. it should have been a “fun” game. it even stole most of its concepts from some of the most fun games out there, except that enslaved strips them down to pure basics and eliminates the fun. it is as if the game has ‘game design aspergers’ and is trying to be like all the other fun games, but it just doesn’t understand what fun is.
leaving it in the oven wouldn’t have made it any better. ninja theory needs better focus. technically, the game does alot of things right. mechanically the game works and functions exactly as intended. its controls are tight, its campaigns are numerous, it has puzzles and challenges and collection and exploration… but it treats these things like its a text book, devoid of emotion and personality.
I definitely agree with that about Enslaved (which I’m three trophies away from platinum on, but can’t be bothered to get ). I just didn’t get that from Heavenly Sword (which is the one I felt could use some more refining). Enslaved had almost too much refining. There were definitely parts that I enjoyed (water chases were kinda fun, especially tied into some of the trophies for making you want to add a little extra effort and not just coast through), but as a whole, it definitely lacked… something. Overall fun factor, I suppose.
shit crashed twice on me when trying to reply to subt-l so you guys are getting an extra short version of deep post about i disagree with your guys assessment of the game.
if all you are looking for is fun go play with a vagina or watch a disney movie those have fun stories and characters.
fun is subjective and to me this games story and characters were extremely well done, quite impressive. to me that is “fun”
i basically feel opposite of what subt-l does, mechanically and technically is where the game is not good. the controls are not “tight” and technically it doesnt run well at all.
im outi

Enslaved is a good game, definitely worth $10. I borrowed a friends copy back when it came out and beat it. I bought Castlevania:LOS and we exchanged games. I bought a copy off amazon for myself for $10, to add to my collection. Platforming was too easy, but that is better than too hard. I don’t know when I will replay it, but I’m glad I own it.
