The Official PLAYSTATION® Thread: E3 - PS4 Pro November 10th $399

I’m looking to add people for KOF XIII but since the netcode is mixed, I’m aiming for East Coast only… You up for it? Matches in the future I mean.

I am down. I suck bad (I’ve never played a KOF before) but I am down.

Everybody’s waiting for the new Twisted Metal. That’s gonna be the hot shit. Fuck SFxT btw.

For some reason I just can’t care about Twisted Metal anymore. I’ve watched vids an shit I’m just “Meh” about it. shrug

I liked the first one cuz the graphics were kinda realistic, and the gameplay was fun. Did NOT care for the visuals of the later games, and the gameplay of part 2 just completely killed the series for me. Never going back.

Yea basically. I really liked the first one. I still enjoyed the second one cuz my friends an I played it a lot but i still liked the first more. After then i never played another one.

I’m watching archives of SW’s stream so I can see my Mahvel matches.

“Full of myself.”

Poppin my KOF Cherry. It’s super sad. I can’t Super from the right side of the screen.

I’m just doing it to see how I play in a match to get better. I had a shitload of mistakes and dropped combos :frowning:

Sounds like me playing Alpha 2 on SNES in 96.

Stop trying to make me feel better, Sonic

If you guys are gonna check out the stream archive, skip the UMvC3 part ( ). It’s just Sonicabid blowing me and Zephyr up. You should watch the other, more glorious stuff, like:

  1. Trine 2’s gorgeous and breathtaking levels,
  2. Modnation Racers. Racing with Jewel Man (Mega Man 9), Richter Belmont (Castlevania), and Sweet Tooth (Twisted Metal) in Team SRK’s kart, on several versions of Mario Kart’s Rainbow Road track, to music ranging from Street Fighter EX Plus Alpha, to Sonic R, to Wild Arms, to The Big O, to Tekken Tag 2, to Virtua Quest. Also showed off enough shit to prove to you that ANYTHING can be created in this game.
  3. Uncharted 3 online. You can hear some typical hood ass niggas talking shit to each other in the game.
  4. PS2 time! Popped in* Nightshade* for a few. That game has surprisingly good music.
  5. PS1 time! Had a snippet of Medievil’s intro in there somewhere.
  6. Epic chat sessions. Talk about some good games, gaming in general, why I don’t own/play any sports games, SRK Mafia, SRK GD, etc etc.
  7. Me sending Rancor Mail**™ **to Sonicabid after every UMvC3 match.

Yes, I know you can’t watch #6, which is why you should have been there LIVE.

Y’all niggas subscribe/fave my page. Always good times in there.

SF4 and Marvel 3 have fucked me up so bad. This game wants you to do shit right, like exactly right. No kinda flubbin the motion in it’s gotta be bang on. If the motion starts with a down you can’t just roll into down and follow through. You gotta go to down and then finish the motion.

This is a good thing, it’s just my execution is pure shit now. I’m gonna have to spend forever in Training just to do shit right again.

WTF is D?

The thing with combos in this KOF is that you have to do the “chains” on hit i.e. semi link - it ain’t gonna cancel ez for you.

And supers have almost the reverse shortcuts of SF, so they are counterintuitive.

Also… Fuck yo couch, Beta.

I want a summary of what I missed in chat - was out all day.

Spent from my Ocho, using Fapatalk.

Whos got a link to that UMvC3 goodness on Beta’s stream? =D

D=HK=Circle on PS3.
For crazy inputs such as a commom staple for a grappler: crLKx2 HCBx2+P there are shortcuts to make things easier. But KOF XIII is like they say" Real Honest Fighting." Thing is you just gotta take your time with your inputs. The game is easier than older titles like 00 and 98. I had to train just to do Kyo’s Mushiki(qcfx2+P) in 98. Realize that I have been doing that motion for over 10 years. So in KOF XIII, relax and don’t rush your inputs. You can hit confirm everything pretty much after you’ve practiced a bit. You have to do that “stick” method. You must let your pad or whatever go back to neutral.

Naw man you’re not feelin me. I am simply standing on the right side of the screen and I can’t Busta Wolf. I’m not comboin or nothing. I am simply standing there and getting normals lol. On the left side Bustas ALL DAY, right side, normals.

Was just in training and couldn’t do the cancel shit at all.

Yea I’m not used to going to Neutral. Also I’m probably inputting far too fast. I’m used to hamming the inputs in fast. I do find that if i just take my time moves come out easier. Like SRKing in this games a lot easier cuz you can just take your time and motion it in.

Sorry, I’m not into couches.

GTFO

SW hates sports games? I hate sports games too, unless they’re arcade style like NBA Jam. I loved Medievil back in the day. I’m gonna get Medievil on PSP because it and 99% of the PSP library still on shelves are 10$ and less.

I want to play KOFXIII at some point, but I’m gonna wait until I can get for dirt cheap and after the netcode patch comes out. I wasn’t interested in the game until I started seeing more of it, like Ryo can “parry” projectiles and Yuri has a divekick that I would like to spam all day. Is it 3S level of execution where you have a little bit of leeway, or Alpha 2/ST style? Regardless, I think I could get the hang of it pretty quick. Going back to 3S after playing a lot of Marvel hasn’t affected me at all. I also like the tagline of “Pure, honest fighting.” No comeback mechanics? Yesapree.

Reminds me more of Alpha 2/ST Sonicabid.

And here’s something I noticed: SNK is super-serious about making people do that shit right: there’s no negative edge in this game. Seriously, try it. SNK wants you to, as Rock H. would put it “Shanto shina!” No problem for us fighting game veterans, though…but for people still using NE as a crutch…y’all fucked.
