neither has jak. but i think someone was alluding to it being a potential lineup for the super sony brawl brothers game, but it just looks like fan art, especially since parappa was psuedo confirmed (as much as a psuedo rumored game can psuedo confirm anything).

whenever i hear radiantsilverguns yakuza 1 story, it kinda hurts my heart. i just remember getting past that part by just going left, behind tents and cars and a few minutes after that you’re storming out of the building throwing statues and leveling fools with stone pillars in some zen garden place you don’t see anywhere else in the series… people tout the “replay” option to grasp the story of previous games, but playing through yakuza 1, you’ll realize there is no summing up that story and getting the full scope of it. it would be like someone giving you an overview of “the godfather”. you can try as much as you like, the best way to convey how good it is is to have someone watch it (or in this case, play through it).

i guess i can’t really CONVINCE anyone its a better story if they haven’t played it, but its well worth a play through just for the story alone. the fighting will seem dated and the side missions aren’t as varied and fun, but its something that i can’t imagine someone who likes the yakuza series would want to skip over.

Actually Jak was in that Playstation Move game with Sly and Ratched.

And heh yea I guess I tell that Yakuza story from time to time don’t I? I guess i should give that game another, more honest chance. I bet i could find it cheap to. I just remember having so much trouble with that damn funeral, pissed me off so much.

One of these days I’m going to actually get around to finishing V. Chronicles, game’s been getting dust in my cabinet for months now =P

Yakuza 3 was super boring. Watched my ex play it a lot and was probably one of the most boring plots and combat systems ever.

I tried playing it myself and I was bored out of my skull.

And the new Voltron game looks like absolute shit. :lol:

Arkham City must have greatly improved combat than if some of you guys are saying it’s better than Yakuza’s. Arkham Asylum’s combat was garbage.

The game is pretty much unofficialy confirmed at this point. Alll we’re waiting for is an official word. Sony is supposed to be revealing a suprise game at Jump Fiesta in a few weeks so keep your fingers crossed. Here’s the website that has the most info on the game right now. It conifrms the company developing it now and has a few gameplay bits that are quite interesting.

Sly Cooper being in is cool, at leat there’s one character I can use.
Sully HAS to be in this game if Drake’s in. If the game’s gonna have super moves, then it should be 'The many faces of Victor “GODDAMN” Sullivan"

Yeah the beginning of Yakuza 3 is pretty rough with the whole orphanage bit but once he gets back to Tokyo, the game finally kicks off and gets better.

This is kind of off-topic right now, but did they ever fix those aiming problems I heard about in Uncharted 3? I got it and Arkham City over this past weekend for a total of 60 bucks, thanks to Black Friday sales. Only been playing AC though. I haven’t even unwrapped U3 because I wanted to see about this.

The patch was out hours ago, so yes the aiming is fixed.

Incedintly enough, my brother beat UC3 today (did I mention this in a previous post?), and I asked him about the aiming and while he did encounter some issues it wasn’t game breaking nor did it deter him from enjoying it.

Aw, that’s what the update was? I was hoping for more multiplayer stages. Yeah, I’m wierd: mp gameplay determined whether I bought u2 and u3. If u3 had no mp, I wouldn’t have bought it. I’m only 2 or so hours into the single player for u2 (train), and less than that in u3 (searching the bad guys’ library for a ship).

Hell yeah, having to play Hide and Seek was annoying as fuck. I actually started to hate the kids.
Rikiya was an awesome dude though.
