I thought that’s what Anarchy Reign was for…
only psp one I liked was the first portable ops. Oh well though, I don’t really get hyped about MGS like that anymore.
Kingdom Hearts 3D release date, please. _
Ehh…Anarchy Reigns is more of an evolution of Power Stone than a traditional action game like NG, DMC,and Bayonetta. I can’t wait to play it though.
Off Topic, but to Ephidel’s av:
GO ALIZEE!!! SHAKE IT BABY SHAKE IT!!!****

Has anyone tried that platformer graffiti style game, or whatever?
Ummmm…
Why is that chic so perfect! DAYMN!!
If you’re talking about Sideways New York, then yes. I have tried it, then I bought it because it is VERY cool. I say try the demo. You will like it enough to buy I can all but guarantee it. As for the other question, I dunno. I think it’s the fact that she can make a fish swim without the aid of water. :lovin:

I think Anarchy reigns is going to bomb harder than shadows of the damned.
Persona 4 is getting a release on Vita, which almost 100% means a release on PSN/PS3.
That game saves like…every time you do something lol. I’m amazed at how often it auto saves.
Anarchy Reigns is going to bomb hard. It looks like it will be fucking aweseom tho.
That’s because Sega refuses to market any of the games that P* develops. Even though it had a commercial, the main reason Bayonetta got somewhat popular is because of word of mouth. That didn’t work for Vanquish because people treated it like a typical 3rd person shooter and thought that there should have been a multiplayer mode. To my knowledge, I don’t think there was even a commercial for the game. Everytime they release a project that was developed by P* they don’t ever advertise it. That’s why when they release games like MadWorld and Vanquish they go under the radar.
Vanquish didn’t have content. No multi, no costumes, no dog (wtf at them cutting the dog). It may have had perfect shooter mechanics, but the game itself just didn’t have enough meat unless you were hardcore into score challenges.
Anarchy doesn’t have an audience.
MadWorld was doomed because it released on Wii. Might have done OK on one of the main systems, but that was before they knew that nothing sells on wii but party games and nintendo.
Yea, P* games have yet get a fucking commercial. Even though all the games they made were amazing.
Famitsu will have an article about it in their next issue.
Gonna start Bulletstorm in the next few days, and then when UC3’s patch gets released, I’ll prob. start that one too.
That is pretty much the only game I care about atm. I want it so bad.
How can anyone like persona 4 better when P3P was the same plus more? Except P3P didnt have “The Answer” dungeon.
Let me guess, Persona 4 is better cause you can control every character? That made shit easier. Its cast is a blatant rip off of scooby doo lol and the story sucked. It only had good music/visuals/fun battles which Persona 3/P3P also had.
Gameplay > Story. All day.
its the same gameplay lmao at least P3/P3P has good BOTH
Persona 3 is stupid.
Not being able to social link with male party members is stupid.
The tiredness system was stupid.
Battles were stupid. SMT games are known for their difficulty, but the “difficulty” is random encounters hitting you with one-shots. Fights are dumb as fuck when something lands a critical on you and then ggs thanks to multi-attack even though you were at full life. Or GIVING RANDOM ENCOUNTERS INSTANT KILL SPELLS. AND not being able to control your own party members (stop fucking attacking Junpei, all you do is whiff!).
The time mechanic was stupid (barely anything to do at night except study).
The story was pretty cool (ending boss concept was awesome), but also pretty goofy.
If you write all of that off as being fixed in P3P then thats bullshit because the fixes are things they pulled from P4 and some changes that they made in retrospect for the game coming out like a year or two later. If you are just going by stories, I think I enjoyed P3 more just because the end game of P4 seems rushed. No special dungeon, no reason to grind past 90, and basically nothing late game at all.
What I got from that is…
you’re mad you cant have a bonding with a male
the game was harder due to tiredness(at least thats realistic), not being able to control all your members, and other factors that isnt new to SMT games.
and a time mechanic that was the same as P4.
The tactic system in P3 gives you pretty much all control over the other members, I never really had a problem with them doing something I didnt want them not to do.
In star ocean your team is controlled by ai AND active based, did that suck too? The older ones, newer ones do suck lol
I didn’t want bonding with a male, I wanted social links with my party members. Akihiko, Ken, that guy that dies, Aigis, dog, Junpei-- I couldn’t hang with any of them (I wouldn’t have hung out with Junpei even if I could have).
The game wasn’t harder because of those mechanics, it was more irritating.
Some of the SMT mechanics are absolutely retarded-- no random enemies outside of special dungeons should have a spell that causes a game over if it resolves. My biggest gripe with the party AI was characters using HP attacks when I didn’t want them to, but aside from that, and characters using the wrong shit on wrong enemies, or not healing me when they should have, it wasn’t too bad, but it still caused me the occasional game over that I pretty much couldn’t have done shit about.
Tiredness isn’t the worst mechanic, but it isn’t great either. The lack of MP heals in P4 was a better “stop grinding!” limitation, but it did get unbalanced once you could afford that scamartist fox or got enough MP heals on your own.
SO games are action battles that don’t require strategy besides “don’t get hit by that one attack”. I could give less of a fuck what my party members are doing (unless they are casting damn cutscene spells), and I could override that when I wanted by forcing them to cast heal. SO2 is probably my favorite PS1 RPG. You could get a broken party the moment you left the first town.
Speaking of PS2 RPGs, I wish there was a shadow hearts collection on PSN. I’d buy that in a heartbeat. Shadow Hearts 3 had the most bullshit encounter system. Got back attacked? GGs. In a game with random encounters, that shit was insane. The accessory that prevented those from happening was absolutely necessary for the entire game. And the cast and plot were shitty except for that witch who was the top 6 party members and could basically solo the entire game.
But Shadow Hearts 1 + 2? Sooooooooo good. Only RPG sequel where the villains acknowledge how badass you are right from the start since they always refer to the main character as Godslayer. Entire cast was good too, and combat was fun AND extremely broken.
