I never touched a Uncharted game at all. Is it best to play the others before checking out 3?
Yes. Absolutely.
This is surprising to hear coming from you. I figured you hated or really disliked the Uncharted games… figured you were of the “they’re movies” camp like ol’ TrollzerWolf there.
Aiming is fucked up in U3. I can’t hit shit.
Fir,
Game wise you can think of them as indiana jones flicks. There isn’t anything character-development wise that you miss, but you are more familiar with them if you play 1 and 2.
Ephidel, if you’ve got the time. Otherwise I’d just say get UC3.
Lmao at Stu. I still haven’t picked it up yet. Will go get it Friday when I’ll have time to play. Do you know if MP feels any different? I didn’t have any problem with it to be honest, but I can understand some of the complaints. Especially from the UC2 vets.
Yeah, the aiming in Campaign mode if fucked up.
Fir, U1 is decent. Stabby and Bulldancer are just haters.
I have no intentions of playing Multi-player.
Don’t ask Stu questions because his answers are all just hating.
But how can I play feces if I think the game is shit already?
Also, I never said the Uncharted series was bad.
I enjoyed the movie quite a bit.
You must not read a lot of my posts, or just choose to ignore them. Pretty much all the PS3 titles I’ve played/own I absolutely love/loved except for Darksiders, SSFIV and MvC3.
And really the only thing I dislike about Darksiders is that they tried to add too much to the game.
And with MvC3/SSFIV it’s just me being burnt out on fighters atm.
Finally finished Uncharted 3. Loved it. Played it on Hard but only a handful of fights were tough. I will probably start up crushing soon.
It isn’t necessary because they are 3 stand alone games. The problem if you just played 3, you will have questions that you would just have to assume. The “Deception” wouldn’t mean as much either because you didn’t grow with the character.
Yeah, I think the aiming is slow too, I probably should have changed he sensitivity, but I just ran with it. When I replay it, I will fool with the sensitivity.
Uncharted 3 seriously puts every single action game to shame. The pacing, cutscenes and gameplay are all seamless. Chapter 7 “The Chateau” was just unbelievable.
If you’ve enjoyed UC1 and UC2, UC3 is better. If you’ve never played the UC series, do it, now.
Apparently it is something in the game. People on neogaf saying it is auto-lock or the game not moving correctly diagonally or something. I’ve jumped around with sensitivity and it still feels off. Been doing a loooooot of run and gun and melee instead.
What are the roots that clutch, what branches grow
Out of this stony rubbish? Son of man,
You cannot say, or guess, for you know only
A heap of broken images, where the sun beats,
And the dead tree gives no shelter, the cricket no relief,
And the dry stone no sound of water. Only
There is shadow under this red rock,
(Come in under the shadow of this red rock),
And I will show you something different from either
Your shadow at morning striding behind you
Or your shadow at evening rising to meet you;
I will show you fear in a handful of dust.
I’m a PS+ member with a year subscription, and think I get way more out of it than I pay easily. I got an email from Playstation Network, that if I renew early by November 8th, I’ll get Jurassic Park The Game for free on November 15th. I seen a video of the game, and it was not impressive to say the least.
I’m going to do it, but don’t even know when my subscription is up in the first place.I know I got an extra 3 months from that hacking bullshit too, they better not try to sweep those under the rug.
Damn I think I’m the worst Uncharted player ever. I die all the time in this game… lol
Only on chapter 10 though…
Uncharted 1 was hard, plus you had waves of enemies, and AK-47 was worthless at range. It took half a clip to kill anything.
Uncharted 2, I thought the normal difficulty was fine. I only had a tough time by the Monastery, I think it was called.
Uncharted 3, is easy, guns every where, get to toss grenades back. Don’t get me wrong, it had a couple tough points like the Sandstorm chapter.
If you think 3 is hard, play 1.LOL
The Collector’s Edition of U3 is HUGE. I thought it would fit in my backpack. Not even close.
3 gives you a lot more life before you die. Normal U3 is at least 2x more health than normal U2, but I think they gave it a longer cooldown before restoring life.
I guess they wanted to make the game more actiony with less pauses to regain life and allow more use for melee without having to worry about getting gunned down.
I like thinking of the health in uncharted like plot armor. Bullets always miss drake until he totally runs out of life at which point he is hit for the first time. Makes sense in terms of cutscene-damage and falling-deaths too.
Haha I see. Yea I actually don’t play games much. However have some more time as of late so decided to pick up U3. Really liking it so far. Probably get 1 and 2 later on.
Most of my death doesn’t come from gun fight but doing stupid shit like jumping down a ledge and thinking I will somehow survive…
i was expecting it to be as big as the infamous 2 HE box. i kinda wish they had some sort of sleeve for the metal case though. maybe something similar to the plastic shit that covered the halo 2 ce case
