Aside from the whole wasteland type setting and being a FPS they’re completely different for the most part. I really really liked Rage while i thought Boarderlands was just fun.
My PS3 got the YLOD about a 3 weeks ago. I reflowed and the issue came back twice, especially after watching HD content, or playing a game. The thing would go to stage 3 fan in no time and the exhaust was extremely hot. It might sound stupid, but I reflowed, drilled holes into the bottom (over the fan) and converted an old case fan to a USB powered one. Played Arkham city for hours today and temps stayed pretty steady and the fan never kicked up to full power.

I feel better now about my Uncharted 3 game being delivered from that AMC event, just got the email confirmation. Will more than likely beat Arkham City before it comes. They are shipping it Fedex next week.
I want to play that shit in 3D. I have the Playstation 3D TV pre-ordered, but think I want a bigger display than that.

Not by trade LOL. I’m just an IT guy. Thing that kills the PS3 (fattys) are the poor thermal paste application (which I put on some Artic Silver 5 to replace that cheap stuff Sony puts on it) and heat. By adding the holes, it allow more heat to dissipate from the PS3 as well as suck more cool air in. Since the air intakes for the PS3 are on the side and the slit in the front, the new air path had to either bring air in or push it out. I found out the flow direction of the fan by placing a toilet paper sheet over it (which pulls air in). I added a 120mm fan that I had in an old desktop and a really old USB charger cable for a Blackberry. Matched the wires up and it was good to go. All this does is take the hot air out faster thus keeping the processor at a safe temperature.
By the way, this is what the thermal paste under my unit looked like once I removed the fan assembly

SNK ways of balancing games has always been… awful.
I remember when we got ver. 1.1 to balance the Arcade version, we were all "Yay, they tone down Raiden and K’… why are they still raping us?"
I forget that one guys name, Takoma or something like that, but he had a glitch were he would can free EX moves, allowing him to do easily 100% combos starting with no meter. Funny thing was, the 1.1 patched fixed that glitch, and he could STILL do 100% starting with no meter.
The one thing that made KoF 13 mad broken was the lack of meter gain scaling, which I hope it has in this version.
People always go on saying “Yea, well that combo is situational because you need 3 meters, full HD bar, yada yada”. Well, you get 1 full meter by doing a BnB, lol.

Also, I just came into a 20gb with a 120gb HDD from a friend. It doesn’t read discs though, so it’s probably got a bad or dirty laser lens. It may or may not also not spin discs properly. Is it real difficult to replace the whole BD deck?
Otherwise, I can let it go for the right price…
