The Official PLAYSTATION® Thread: E3 - PS4 Pro November 10th $399

I called Sony to get them to deactivate the PS3s from my account and dude said that they’d have to deactivate ALL of them, including the one I’m using.

How does this work? If I go through with the deactivation, what will it do to my current system? Will it be like returning system to factory settings, without any content, saves, or downloads whatsoever? Because I might not even want to bother if that is the case…

I was too late to make it to Blockbuster today, they were closed when I got there. This specific Blockbuster was supposed to stay open after the majority of them closed down, but now it’s closing too. There’s a 15-40% discount going on right now, so I’m gonna try to head down there tomorrow to see if they have any games I’d want for cheap. Kind of sucks too, since I planned on renting the majority of new releases from now until December. Fuck.

I’m 99% sure that means all the shit you’ve downloaded from PSN on your main account won’t work if you deactivate it. You’d have to log into your main account and re-download everything. It won’t affect your saves, but any DLC/PSN game will not be playable until you re-download them, which would “reactivate” them. Everything stays the same except for whatever you’ve gotten off of PSN.

That’s dumb…how many PS3’s did you have activated on your account?

Anyway…I plan to send my Phat to Gophermods since it looks like it’s on warranty still.
However, I’m not taking anymore chances, and getting a new one.

If they fix my old one…can I transfer my data from the old one to the new one without having to open up either?

unfortunate, reminds me of the time mine yellow lighted in april IIRC this year too. $150 sent to sony just to get it fixed, all memory erased, 2-4 week wait…I ended up just getting a new one.

Depends on the game, though I’m pretty sure recent games haven’t allowed for it. Soul Calibur 4 let you put your saved files onto a flashdrive and transfer them that way. However, I tried it with Vanilla SF4 and it wouldn’t work, along with some other games I can’t recall.

Damn man…Gophermods is the way to go.

Hmmm…Looks like it can be done.
Whatever I can’t transfer, I’ll deal with it.

Shit. I got this slim packed too. Sigh…I dunno what I’m gonna do.

Apparently five, since I couldn’t share MK9 stuff with my guy months ago. But I remember actually deactivating from some PS3s. Let’s see, my old fattie yellow lighted. My friend’s fattie yellow lighted. I shared some Vanilla SF4 costumes and shit with Magneto Maniac a long time ago. And my current slim. That makes four.
Hmmm…I might’ve put T5DR on my other friend’s ps3 and prob some SCIV stuff on another.

I gotta do some looking around. We know I can’t recover from the YLOD ones. Even if there is a way, those fat bitches are long gone by now. I was being careless with the game saves no doubt, but this was doing a time when I was always over someone’s house playing fgs and my personal system rarely ever got touched.

PSN should have a an option where you can just manually deactivate systems. Like pulling a red switch and someone and saying, “Nope! Not anymore.” That and increasing the friendslist. It always feels like I’m only allowed to have 20 friends and I constantly delete people I met playing other games to make room for peeps in new games. Plus trying to keep people you know. It’s annoying.

I think you can actually…just not on a yellowed system.

This is good to hear!

I’m going to have to call Sony as well to deactivate all of them. A long time ago I shared HDR on 2 friends systems, then some other games on some other systems. I can’t deactivate them because 2 of them are dead PS3s. My cousin is giving me his PS3 that doesn’t read discs. I’ll just use it for Netflix in my room, and games off of PSN until I get around to getting it fixed.

Rumor is that Daytona USA may get a PSN and XBL release.
I really liked SEGA Rally on PSN despite not having that many tracks, and will gladly get Daytona Day 1 if it’s good too =D

Man where the hell have I been? I didn’t know this was on PSN!

I wish I could eliminate load times on PSX games…

You can speed them up a fairly significant amount, but yeah, it’s really surprising that they don’t just load pretty much instantaneously.

daytooooonnnnnnnaaaaaa

I’m in the final battle of Beyond Good and Evil and after whacking this fucker for nearly 30 times HE’S STILL NOT DIEING, WTF I GOTTA DO KILL HIM WITHOUT BEING HIT?!
EDIT: Apparently that is the case: If I get hit his health recovers =V
Finally beat it getting 100% trophies AND all items in the game \m/
An overall solid game IMO, I can see the sequel GREALTY surpasing it as there’s a lot they can do with the game’s concept.

Yeah, I’m sure they are not optimized at all for PS3 just full PSX code transferred. I was playing Alpha 2 and when it starts it says “loading” and takes some time to start.

Trophy whores, how much would you pay for trophies?
I seen that Elemental Monster Online Card game is $.99 and has a full trophy set, but in order to get the platinum, you have to pay more money I believe.
I’m going to get it for 99 cents just to check it out and see how far you can go for the initial price.

roooooooooooooooolllllllllllllllllllllllllling stttaaaaaaaaaaaart

How? I downloaded Cyberbots, and it has the same long ass loading times that I forgot about when I got MAME.

It should be somewhere in the menu when you press the PS-Button during PSX gameplay.
