Gophermods fixed my phat PS3…and I had them up the HDD space.
Even sent me back the old HDD…
Good prices.
Very good peoples.
It’s actually just one long game, instead of two games; so, think of it more as an expansion than a full release. They updated the battle system to make it faster (which was very welcome). You get all the items from harvesting points at one time, instead of having to mash X. The level cap is raised, obviously, and the EXP curve was adjusted. They added 400 new pieces of equipment (armor+weapons). For the Sword skill-tree, you have the option to use two swords instead of sword and shield. Some equipment types were rebalanced (and there is already a weapon fine-tuning patch released in JPN already). They added in a bunch of “Errand” quests, which are usually fetch-quests or talk-to-people-quests (the errands are throughout the first and second parts of the game). They added in “bounty” quests where you go kill a strong enemy (these also go throughout the first and second parts). Oh, and your created character can get a Knight now, which you can customize with weapons and accessories (different weapons give the Knight different attacks).
That’s all I got off the top of my head.
Fun fact: The EU ver. of WKC2 has been out for MONTHS before the US version.
For that matter, could you post a vid that shows a good example of WKC2’s gameplay? (Sorry for asking this) If I like the gameplay I’ll get it =)
BTW, a shop is selling Borderlands (not the GotY edition) for 10-15 dollars, is it worth picking up?
It is a loot game, so it is only fun with friends.
Hmmm I see, thanks for the feedback.

EDIT: Oh and you can now change the leader in FF13-2 =V
Why the hell even leave that leader shit in.
The concept is used in other RPG games, off the top of my head are Rogue Galaxy and I think Kingdom Hearts(?).
Don’t see what the issue is.
Oh and here’s a gameplay trailer for Binary Domain-

? im not sure i follow that logic, or if it even makes sense. it’s dependent on what type of player you are. fallout 3 is basically a loot game + rpg with a story and it’s single player, no friends needed for it to be fun…for some people that is.

Because you can’t control where your leader is in FF13. If I could tell my leader to fall back cuz he/she is getting owned, I wouldn’t have a problem. Being able to switch leader on the fly in battle sounds like a dumb solution to me and doesn’t add anything fun to the battle system. I don’t want to play hot potato with leader changing.
Borderlands is nothing but grind for EXP, grind for better guns, and quests that are go from point A to point B or kill X enemies. It has some charm, and sometimes things can be interesting, but it isn’t a game meant for a single-player experience.
Fallout has a story, has an atmosphere, and you can do more than blast enemies all day to get exp.
What do you mean by ‘fall back’?
One benefit of leader switching is that if you have a team of say Com+Rav+Sab, you can switch to your Sab if you need to get certain debuffs on enemies. If anything it allows you more direct control on the flow of battle.
It also lets you access each character’s Full ATB Skill (e.g., Army of One, Highwind, Death, etc.) within the same battle, whereas in XIII, only the party leader could use their special ability. Of course, this is under the assumption that XIII-2 has something similar to this.
So an example of party leader change in XIII would be like using Lightning’s Army of One to build chain bonus, and then switching the party leader to Fang to use High Wind on a staggered enemy.
And to add to Tizoc’s comment, different characters are better at different roles. When you need to debuff an enemy, you would want to have your best saboteur on point. Likewise, when you need to buff your party, you may want a particular synergist on point so that you can manually put on the buffs that you need (e.g., if you need to cast Enfire on your party).
I don’t understand how having more direct control over the battles could possibly be a bad thing, unless you found the FFXIII battle system too complicated already? (not an insult - genuine question)
borderlands has a story and atmosphere, maybe not as good, but still. ill give you that you can do more than just blast enemies in fallout. id also like to point out that the diablo series was thoroughly enjoyed by many people in single player and it’s basically the definition of a grind fest.

Oh that reminds me, FF13-2 is said to have LOTS of recruitable monsters (one post I read on GAF said 150, which I think is pretty absurd, I’d say at most maybe 20-50). One of them is a red vegie Flan who in one battle video did Kenshiro’s Hokuto Hyakuretsu-ken, if this is gonna be it’s Limit break (full atb attack), I’m a fuckin pull that off whenever I can, fuck if it’s repetitive, IT’S HOKUTO HYAKURETSU-KEN (of ourse this is assuming it’s selectable =P)
One more thing, here’s the battle theme for Noel+Serah if anyone wants it-

I like it, but then again I tend to like anything that a neat guitar tune in it =P
WKC is alot of grinding for materials, but WKC2 makes it a little better for the solo player. In the first game, only your Avatar could be taken into the Guild Quests. This made the quests feel empty. In the second game, you can bring in characters from the Single Player. Which makes the solo grind easier and a little less lonely.
EDIT: Oh, you also have free re-specs until level 36. This works in both parts of WKC2. After that, you have to wait until you re-birth at level 80 to get a skill re-spec.
So Stranger’s Wrath HD is expected to be released later this year at the earliest, and WILL be on Vita eventually =o
Plus it’ll be in 60 FPS.
Really looking forward to it X3
Oh and here’s what the MGS Collection will look like-

You missed out, a month back Borderlands Bundle with game and all DLC was on sale for PS+ users for $15. I say it’s worth it and put in over 40+ and just started playing the expansions when I bought it on that sale. I bought the whole package digitally even though I already have the Vanilla disc.
I played Borderlands 95% solo, played with my friend for maybe 10 quests. I don’t think it is really a grindfest if you follow the quest line, you are going to different areas. It isn’t like you are ever doing the exact same thing over and over, you are going to different locations. It can be more enjoyable with a friend like most games, but I had fun solo.
I think my Phat has met its end…time to save up for a new one.
My money! How they take it with such ease!
Horrible, KOF XIII is next month.
