The Official PLAYSTATION® Thread: E3 - PS4 Pro November 10th $399

same here I sometimes go back to my old games to try to trophy whore it, of just I like to replay the games and I don’t feel like reinstalling it over again. Plus I watch my “Downloaded” Blu-Rays off my 1tb External HDD.

Man, you cant even pause Demon’s Souls. I have to find somewhere to hide out when I want to go have a smoke. I died at the giant beast dude during the tutorial again. Is there anyway you can even possibly beat that guy? I actually hit him a few times this time but it didnt even do anything.

Drizzt, people tell me you need to learn how to roll…I dunno I didn’t like Demons Souls that much…it’s all the advice i can give.

Yeah you can beat him but it’s supposed to be tough. If you do beat him, you get some really good items, but no matter what you end up going to the nexus afterward. Pretty much a new player isn’t expected to be able to beat him at all.

As for how to beat him, you just have to get really good at using your roll. It has invincible frames on the startup.

I tried the latest stable version (version 1.30.1 from the front page)…I can’t use that shit cus some dll (ps3 system info or something like that) won’t install, and skipping will install the program, but because of that fucking dll, it won’t find my ps3. The latest beta installs okay finds my ps3, and sets up painlessly, but it’s a beta, and mkv files seem to take a while to start, and they skip. Can you point me to an older stable version where this isn’t a problem?

how do you turn on the wireless stereo headset? i see virtual surround sound on/off button near the top but that doesn’t do anything.

I feel ya, but I’m one of those types who just can’t throw it away once I get it. The game has to be some straight up shit on the screen before I’ll delete. Those load times are the real killer. I HATE LOAD TIMES!!! Shit be taking forever!! If I’m going to the microwave and cooking some hot pockets between scenes, that is FAR too long. I’d rather let it sit there than deal with that everytime. If you play a lot of stuff, it will add up. I wish I could just plug in some of my External drives and keep going, but these clowns don’t even pick up on the system. for those of you using an external, can you give me some info on what to use to back up the PS3 with? I’ve got a dime or two in the pocket and I’m itching for a place to store my por…err, DATA at.

-Starhammer-

Hmm… That sucks, don’t know why… :frowning:

I’ll look around.

i have 72 psn games, 47 ps1 classics and 10 psp games. also i install every game i have. i’m close to maxing out my 320gb.

Give it about 10 minutes or so, but it’s uploading for me right now…

Try that - should work. It’s version 1.25.1 - that’s what I’m using.

I upgraded to a 500GB and couldn’t be happier. Install data was the biggest reason why I did. I didn’t like when I had to delete install data to play a rented game, damn near all the time when I had my 40GB. Some music, downloaded movies (back then), demos, full PSN games, and the OS itself taking a shitton of space was overwhelming the 40GB (or 32GB) very quickly.

I wish I would have never asked about being able to beat the giant beast at the beginning of Demon’s Souls. Now I wanna start over and keep starting over till I do beat him. lmao

lol, GOOD LUCK.

Arigato gozaimasu!

Now, on the ps3 storage thing: I keep videos on my ps3 cuz my externals are not fat32, and I need stuff to watch when I go up to grandma’s (no internet = no router, so no streaming…if only there was some sort of wireless external hdd/server the size of a typical external drive).

You do know that you can plug a USB hard drive into the system, right?

They have to be fat32. I’m using NFTS

You can format a USB drive to be Fat32. Even the little thumb drives which are dirt cheap for 5 to even 10 gigs these days.

Yeah…but I would have to buy a new one, then transfer files to it…and it’ll be a while down the road with all these games coming out a month from now. Might even be next May.

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820313058 You can’t afford an 11 dollar 8 gig flash drive?

I have one…but still, it’s a chore to transfer what I want to watch. I’d rather just have it all on hand.
