as a fan of Klay, not sure if that’s true BUT he is one of those guys that really feels “in da zone” sometimes. I’ve watched a lot of live games where he literally catches fire and the only reason he doesn’t seem to score A LOT every other night is because sometimes Steph gets hot and doesn’t stop shooting pull up 3s or because KD goes for the 1on1 play. I mean Warriors ball movement is really good, you can typically find 2-3 open guys for the basket, whether is a corner three, a cut to the basket for the layup or someone coming off a screen for the easy jump shot. I usually see Klay asking for the ball only to see someone else scoring. Not a big deal, don’t get me wrong, but a lot of ppl were talking about Klay getting traded or something. Hope this shows how valuable he is and the things he can do.
If anything, the only complain I have is that he wasn’t consistent during both Finals on the offensive end. I think he could have helped much more in the first set and definitely helped to seal the deal last summer. All in all he plays good defense and moves well without the ball.
I was saying - and it still stands - that’s he’d be better coming off the bench. You really expect him to drop 60 every night? Annnnnnd Joe Johnson also had nights where he was lights out. The point still remains that Klay’s scoring would be better coming off the bench b/c they have more than enough fire power in the starting lineup. His scoring would be more valuable in that role. Him dropping 60 doesn’t change that at all.
Lol. Don’t start with him. He hasn’t even looked at the rotation. He couldn’t really defend his stance.
Warriors literally will always have 2 of curry, klay, Durant, and draymond on the floor. He’s making it seem like klay comes of the bench and all of a sudden it’s his team to go ham on. With the 3 minute remaining mark of the first, they are subbing durant BACK into the game while curry doesn’t sub out until after the 1st quarter is done. They usually start the second subbing klay back in paired with Durant while dray and curry rest.
There isn’t a bench unit with this team. It’s 2-3 off their main starters with other players who’s job is to buy them rest time.
Basketball isn’t just starters and bench with this team, and that’s why they are scary as fuck. Most teams are lucky to have two killers to start a game, but warriors never have to have any less than 2 killers on the floor for an entire game.
You’re right - they have no bench. And you know what’s gonna happen? They’re gonna break down just like they did last season, unless they put one together. But hey, if they’d rather start everything they have and run those guys into the ground - I’m sure the Clippers, Cavs, etc will greatly appreciate it.
For one, they’re blowing a lot of teams out and getting early rest. And also, good luck trying to stop a team capable of dropping 140+ points and they’re not even at their peak. Durant isn’t Harrison Barnes. They’re also not chasing records this year and will be rested before the playoffs.
As long as they have Livingston and Iguodala, they have a bench. Everybody else is situational.
We’ll see, but I don’t have confidence in Livingston in the playoffs. Cleveland exposed him pretty hard. Once they put someone his own size in to play defense (Frye) he was near useless. Couldn’t score, couldn’t distribute. Nothing. I still maintain that they’d be better off w/ Klay coming off the bench - yall believe whatever yall wanna believe.
Warriors also use about 11 players a game minimum, and are experimenting with rotations and are willing to take L’s to learn what didn’t work.
And burn out? The main 4 play 33 minutes a game each and sit out a bunch of 4ths. And then you know there is mid session resting as an option. It’s only been about 1 month into the season…
Just seems like your hunting for a reason to rationalize klay coming of the bench even though your concerns aren’t rational if you watch this team.
