Quick was on his A game and we still won, Luongo was shaky and still pulled out that clutch save, from what I saw in the game the Nucks got his number, like Burrows said they had so many chances, they just couldnāt roof it at the time, but Mikael Samuelsson is a rock in the play offs, scored the OT win for Detroit in game 2 of the western conference finals last year.
whatās this about canucks fans always thinking their team is better than it is? I have been pretty unimpressed by the canucks up until 2-3 years ago, I havenāt backed my team this hard since 94 and I was 5 years old then.
Iām not saying as of now they are the best, even in their conference (although they are division leaders this year) But this version of the Canucks is deeper than ever, Alan Vigneault is able to mix and match lines with surprising effectiveness, players are playing their roles to a T.
Plus we have Hank with Art Ross + Daniel assist (aka psylocke AAA) A proven world class goalie, new blood, experienced players, scrappers (Rypien and Hordichuk)
Add on to that the fact that the Canucks have never won a cup and itās almost like they have plot armor at least for the Quarter finals.
looking forward to caps-habs tomorrow. i was raging pretty bad after thursday, but we should be able to right the ship.
I really hope iām reading this wrong. Cause fans that only show up when the team is doing well are the worst type of fans in the world. Trust me we have enough of them in toronto.

I think thereās a difference between bandwagoing and finding new confidence in your team.
It was really frustrating watching the Canucks for a few years, when guys like Bertuzzi are the face of the team, or Matt Cooke being the mouth piece, Mark Messier being an immense waste of money, after the Bertuzzi sucker punch everyone was kind of ashamed of the whole thing. People like to lump Sundin in with Messier but I think he did a lot for the team.
I watched last year all the way to the end last year and saw Luongo bomb against Kane and the blackhawks but I still watched all this season.

holy hell that was a heart attack of a game. im glad the caps got it done; will be interesting to see how montreal reacts at home as they should have but that game away. ovechkin has officially woken up, but goaltending and defense are still serious concerns.

only thing i could see is the disproportionate amount of penalties the habs got called for in the third period compared to the first two, but in all fairness, the habs started playing a lot sloppier in the third period. and like odin said, the caps couldnt convert on the PP anyway, so it was rendered moot
