Russell Wilson beat down Peyton last year to win an SB, just finished beating Rodgers who has beat repeatedly, and now has Brady up in the SB (who he also has beaten).
If Wilson wins another SB, after beating all those guys, I don’t care what anyone says, he is the #1 QB in the league.
My guess is @Ken34 drank himself into a comma ? Por guy, and I thought being the worst team in the league was bad
This was the worst possible SB, and will be the only time in my life I pull for the Hawks(might even wear one of my wife’s hats which says a lot),. I can’t take a whole damn offseason with Brady hoisting it, please Seattle , please win this fucking game.
He’s not coming out. I think he knew that he’d get eaten alive with scouts and whatnot. He benefitted greatly from being the unknown during the title run. A year as the starter would help him a lot.
This coming from someone who always wants players to go pro asap and get paid for their talents.
Lol at saying Wilson beat Rodgers or Peyton or anybody for that matter. This isn’t boxing or tennis, this is a team game. Rodgers played much better than Wilson today…but he lost. Why? A lot of factors. Wilson made a few great plays in the end but let me detail a few things.
Wilson threw 4 picks…should have been 5 (ha ha dix dropped one). He had a dream situation, with packers having an extra guy up front to stop the run. Man to man across the board for the recievers, pretty much daring seahawks to throw to beat him. Yet he was completely off most of the day, with a bunch of 3 and outs. This would have doomed most any other team. Why not the seahawks?
He had the best defense in football on his side. Even though green bay started every drive except the first on their side of the field (sometimes already in FG range) in the 1st half…the red zone defense of the Seahawks was otherworldly. Here is how GB got their 22 pts. 1 TD and 5 FGs.
Beast mode was beast mode. In addition to making things easier for Wilson (which he finally capitilized on near the end), he still was incredibly effective and rolled out some monster runs.
3 miracles. The fake field goal worked to perfection. The onside kick was perfect. The on a prayer 2pt conversion was somehow caught (believe ha ha lost his footing cause he was in perfect position).
GB played more not to lose at the end than to win. For some reason Clay matthews was not on the field on the 2 late scoring Seahawk drives, makes no sense.
BTW Colts got destroyed 45-7 (just as I predicted)…but Andrew Luck played infinitely better than Russell wilson. You see, it is a team game and a million and one factors go into why a team wins and why they lose.
Super bowl should be good. I guess go seahawks (hate the patriots).
I’ve been saying it for awhile now. I said it was possible it would happen, and as the games go by the more and more likely it looks that it will.
Early Brady was considered nothing but a system QB (by stupid people). He was brought along slowly that first season, the same way Wilson was. Progressively he was allowed to do more.
Then he had nobody WRs, and he’d always be clutch, winning pretty much every game with a game winning drive. Sometimes TDs when they needed it, otherwise a FG. That’s Wilson to a T.
It’s not there yet. Not enough years. But I know what you mean. Peyton prob the better QB technically, but Brady has better teams behind him. Wilson brings a different running element that neither had though, both Brady and Manning are prototypical pocket passers.
