Draft good players and hope you get lucky. Early in the season look for new names gettin hot and grab them before anyone else. That’s pretty much it. You just make decisions off the numbers and hope your luck holds out. It’s almost entirely luck based.
It ends up with players being underpaid because they give 1-2 players a fuck ton of money and other players nothing.

I wonder if the Patriots still have to pay Hernandez all that guaranteed money? They probably thought it was just a obstruction of justice charge until he got arrested. Hernandez and his agent probably didn’t tell the Patriots everything and that’s why he got released just seconds after he was arrested.
