The Broncos have a laughable season barring of course to the Win/Loss record of the teams from last year. With the Giants getting nerfed, Cowboys being a “talented team on paper” that always falls short, Eagles that can’t hope to protect Vick, the only two teams that really are going to be an obstacle without any real debates are the Patriots and Texans. Having one of the easier schedules, Manning could possibly light it up. Breaking the TD record? I don’t know about that, remember it’s just one game still.
Manning would literally have to be the 2005 Version and that is a Huge Task, considering his Offensive Unit for the Broncos is nowhere near as beastly as his offensive unit from that Era’s Colts. James, Wayne, Clark, Stokley, Harrison all in their primes along w/ Manning>>>>Current Manning w/ Broncos Unit. Not to mention with the notion that any player can get injured so if that happens then the numbers can drop. In 2005 at least off of my memory nobody significant on the offensive side was lost for the season so this allowed Peyton to continue torching opponents at will.
Although the schedule for the Broncos is pretty pathetic I highly doubt he’ll break 50 TD record.
Lastly, I’m super fearful of my Packers, since I’m already expecting a loss in Game 1. I don’t trust the O-Line, I question our Defense since I still believe guys like Raji haven’t proven anything to me, I don’t even remember Tramon playing in the preseason, and the only good thing is Matthews, so make me a believer Packers D. Aaron Rodgers is going to be The Best Football Player on the planet but that O-Line, and Eddie Lacy once again is a wild card. If the dude is legit, then I can see some serious things going for the offensive. I’m also hoping that since this is a contract year for Finley that he’ll finally show up for us and go on a stomp. He showed some light in the preseason…but again, that was preseason.
At least I’ll weep and cry together w/ my cousins & friends + the food we’ll be eating will be great, so theirs a plus side to that.
