At least Joe Webb accepted he can’t play QB, Tebow needs to realize he can’t play QB either.
Why do people keep saying this? Tebow is not fast enough to play RB, he isn’t built enough to be a decent fullback and if he really had hands at TE, someone would have tried him there because both the Jets and Patriots would have wanted to try to surprise folk since no one has seen him catch or do something. The fool is QB, maybe a bad one by NFL standards but he is better at a QB then he seems to be at any other position unless he has some long snapping skills he hasn’t gotten to show off yet.
Ultimately, Tebow only has himself and maybe his college coaches to blame for not polishing his throwing skills because really, there are plenty of bad QB spots that probably would have loved to have him and the media buzz he brings if he wasn’t such a crap shoot in regards to how he throws those passes.
Edit: If Tebow had Vince Young’s passing ability he’d have a job right now and if Vince Young had Tim Tebow’s personality, he would still be the Titans’ starting QB. Sucks for them both but they both should have enough contacts at their old universities and in their local communities (not to mention Tebow with that Bible belt) that they can still make money in other endeavors.
Leinart is fuck though, he might get a few more attempts to try out for back up roles but if he didn’t save his money he should pray a High School coach or lower is willing to take him on as a assistant.
We don’t know about his hands at TE because he refuses to play it. Even if he just put his frame towards being a tough blocking TE with the occasional pass coming his way, that’d be better than being out of the league entirely. But he’s gonna wind up headed for the CFL, because he’d rather play QB in a fake league than switch positions. Waste of potential, really.
What Tebow needs to accept is that he’s not cut out to play in the NFL at ANY position. Period.
He has good leadership skills, let him channel that into another job. It could still be a league job too. Or he could go back to help his Alma Mater Florida. I know it’s his dream to play in the NFL, but not everyone’s cut out for it. He’s a smart kid, he should know it’s the end of the line and that it’s time to focus his energy into getting a new job he’s legitimately qualified for.
By the way, the CFL isn’t going to come calling either since it’s a passing league up there even moreso than the NFL, and that’s the area he struggles the most.
You think some scrub team in the CFL isn’t gonna call him for the marketing boom alone? Cmon son.
That’s what people thought would happen with his home state team in the Jags and look what happened there.
Now, if all he wants is to play football then he can try to go to the CFL or the UFL, but if it was to play in the NFL, that dream’s done and he should move on from that dream. Like I said, as long as it doesn’t involve him actually playing the game, he has a wealth of job opportunities related to the game should he decide to go that route. I mean, shit he could head straight to ESPN and pal around with Skip Bayless. He sure as hell has more credentials than most of the people who work there.

its not that he isnt cut out to play other positions, cause i personally feel he is a great athlete, but he just sucks at throwing the ball. but he refuses to play any other position. its like someone he knows must have gotten in his head and told him, stick to your guns, screw the naysayers…but he is just taking this too far, he fucking blows as a QB, i dont get what he doesnt get about that. i think he could play TE honestly.
Got into a Fantasy Football League and someone drafted Tebow and I told him he got cut and then he seemed sad right after.

Tebow though, what’s he gonna do? That preseason game sums him up, he gets sacked 4/9 plays, overthrows open receivers while looking them down the whole play…literally lulls the defense into stunned amazement with bad play, then pulls a 9-yard pass out of his ass that goes for 52 yard TD and the crowd is mumbling “Jesus” on both sides. Then Skip Bayless is calling the 9-yard pass “a thing of beauty” or some shit the next day lol.
If is work ethic is so amazing you’d figure there’d be some improvement to his throwing game, he hasn’t progressed at all. And that delivery is painful to watch
