As a washington sports fan I am suspect about everything we do that sounds good. The nats getting strausburg and harper, the wizards grabing wall and two other first rounders, the caps making winning the cup this season, all the skins changes. Any other fan would be extatic but because it is those teams we expect it to flop. That said I saw a lot of things thia preseason that are a LOT different than when Zorn was coach. These differences give me enough hope to believe we can do good this year. It isnt like we loss by a ton of points last year. We usually would be winning until the final quarter and the little changes should give us at LEAST 9-7 season. Considering their scheduel 9-7 sounds realistic.

So I’m going to extend the offer at this time for anyone who wants to play in the unclaimed teams positions. I keep sending them invites and reminders, so I think they don’t wanna do it. Better to cut them off now than to see they quit in the middle of the season.

I found out what happened. BR3N7 sent me a PM telling me the league was full. I know I Am Lothar deleted his team and I tried to refill his spot with another email which didn’t work, so no one else could join for some reason. I’ve deleted his and the other team that didn’t join, so BR3N7 should be able to join now. There’s one spot left, pending he joins, so I’ll give him till Wednesday or so. It shouldn’t take that long to join, but people who haven’t joined by now haven’t been answering PM’s so…
I’d like the league to be SRK only, but it seems no one else is interested. Send me your cousin’s email addy. As long as he doesn’t quit midway through the season, we’re good.
And Edit: Seeing the Skin’s in action Friday. Wow. That first game of the year between Skins & Cowboys looks to be hype. Not that I’m hating on Dallas but man, If I were a Cowboys fan, I’d be a little concerned…That division isn’t going to be as easy as one might think to take.
McNabb could very well be what they needed to get better.
That being said, I still hate the Skins.
Let me ask you guys a question. My friends and I are doing our draft later today and I have the 3rd pick. The two guys before me I know are picking Rodgers and P. Manning. Should I take a great qb like brady, brees or shaub or should I go for a good running back like MJD or Chris Johnson?

I’d go MJD or Chris Johnson.
I’d never take a QB in the first or second rounds unless they’re guaranteed to have a year like Brady did when they went 16-0. If it’s not a performance like that, I’d pass. You can usually get a solid QB in the third round.
A qb is a good pick in the first round if you are around 7th pick or later imo
like drew brees or something
I’m with kaz, you definitely want to grab an elite RB with your first pick. I would go RB with your second pick too. You’ll probably miss out on the top QBs like Schaub, Rivers, Brees, Brady, etc, but you should probably be able to easily grab a Matt Ryan or Jay Cutler later on. With a great running core, that’s all you need.

I personally don’t think about QB’s (depending on league settings) until the 5th round minimum. There is always a good QB late because they are not collectible like RB’s. Most idiots that take jake cutler in the first round (I won’t name names), or any QB for that matter usually don’t get another tell late. So this leaves a nice stable between Mcnabb to Ryan to whatever sleeper you can pick up late and this adds a solid WR, RB, TE, or w/e to add to your roster to either slot or trade. Last couple of years I didn’t grab a QB tell the 8th round about got Ryan and Mcnabb so worked out nice.

League 2’s draft is the 29th. Not the 25th. If I remember correctly League 1’s is the 29th also?

I have one spot open for a fantasy league I’m running here at work if someone wants to join. The draft is set for Sunday Aug 29 10:30pm EDT, a couple hours after SRK League 2’s draft.
So, is nobody watching this because it’s preseason? I would have thought Manning gushing that much blood down his face would at least have been worth a mention.
