The OFFICIAL NFL 2010-11 Thread (including SRK Fantasy League)

I was watching it at work. Damn man

I was working. Son of a bitch.

In better news the Niners signed Westbrook!
squeal

I saw that, Jacobs completely ran into Eli and the rest is history.

Eli bleeding was awesome. Fuck that dude, for real.

In other news, I just checked and it seems League 2 is down two people still. WTF guys. Kaz if it’s alright I might try recruiting some people from the NBA thread to fill spaces.

Tell me about it. I’m pissed because last year we had no problem finding 20 people to be in one league and then filled another league with 12, now we have a problem finding players. :bluu:

There was a problem where people weren’t able to join, but that problem was fixed. BR3N7 was resent another invite after he claimed he couldn’t join, then he hasn’t joined since. And Ryusuke’s cousin was sent an invite as well; do you think he joined yet? Nope.

If need be find players from the NBA thread. I plan on still having the draft on the date as scheduled and I believe we’ll have 12 players by then.

does anyone know if the draft can be done on mobile? Work has been assigning me to extra days without asking me and now I am scheduled to work sunday.

Favre is on his way back to Minnesota. Who would have thought?

If it was concussion it would be more mention, but it looks like it’s no big deal (got off his feet pretty much right away and ran to sideline right after)

Jacob…lol wth?

just did a draft this morning with a rando espn group and got favre in the 13th round. lol.

ESPN is out of control, their breaking news is following him around while he is driving.

But what if he stops for food?! We HAVE to know this stuff.

That video of Eli just confirms the fact that helmets aren’t being fitted properly. NFL helmets look like they help, but what good are they if they fly off your head with every hard tackle? I think last season was the worst, dudes were taking off helmets with ease.

Not really the fault of the helmets, most players wear helmets that are too big for their head because they are more comfortable.

Looks like I’m ok for the Sunday draft. My trip is been pushed back. Now just a matter of waiting for the season to start.

The local news is doing that, but I mean, it’s not even them, there were a ton of people outside Winter Park waiting for him to drive up.

I’m just down the road from there, and I resisted the urge :stuck_out_tongue:

Got an early draft in 20 minutes for one of my work leagues. I checked in to see that I got first pick. Chris Johnson first is a no-brainer, right?

^_-;

Id go AP personally

About the helmets, those of you who played football would know that they are super tight and very uncomfortable. It wouldnt suprise me if it came off cause it wasnt fitted “correctly.”

Quick question while Im here. Anyone know why you HAVE to go through college to get into the nfl?

You don’t have to go to college to get into the NFL.

You just have to be OUT of HS for at least 3 years (Meaning only needing to play 2 years meaning you leave after your sophomore year/start of junior year). Obviously going to college for 3 years keep you a lot more relevant then bumming at home for 3 years.

That rule was designed because they don’t think players are either mentally or physically ready for the NFL, until three years. Most likely by the third year they are either 20 or 21 years old. Age could vary though, because there are players who graduate early, and could be 19 by their third year of college.

If the open spot(s) havent been claimed yet I’ll join the league.

I assume from your first comment that you played at least high school football, and since you are a fan I assume you watch at least some college ball. The gap between High School and College ball is enormous in regards to skill required, physical requirements, and mental development. Going from college to pro is an equally large gap, which is why a lot of college superstars can’t do much in the NFL. The simple reason why you have to go through college is because unless you are training your body constantly and can keep up with the speed of college ball well enough to adjust to the significantly increased speed of pro ball, you have no business being anywhere near an NFL field.
