You’re joking right? Either you don’t know shit about college football or you sleeping under a rock.
Aren’t they saying the same things about Cam that they did for Russell? Strong athletic abilities, ability to make plays, etc…? It may be a little unfair but come on, the guy stole some other guy’s laptop, cheated in his academic courses (what was Jamarcus Russell’s issue? laziness) and quit before a disciplinary committee could pass judgment. When you combine this with the fact that he had trouble talking about plays he did Auburn (if you watch QB camp he made it seem like he hiked the ball and just looked for the open guy without huddling) and you might be getting someone that gets by on mere athletic ability. That usually does not translate well to the NFL, especially in the quarterback department.
Maybe his character issues are in the past. Maybe he’s a reformed man. But let’s not act like the comparisons are out of left field, racial (I’m looking at you Warren Moon) or anything else like that.
