The OFFICIAL NFL 2010-11 Thread (including SRK Fantasy League)

I should just be happy I am not a carolina fan right now

Honestly, if we can just pick up some good defensive picks and worry about getting a solid offense next year I will be happy. Rebuild for the year after.

Whoaaaa I know you summarized this already but whoaaaaa

I need to hear this, I thought he was happy (Despite not as many carries even when Ronnie went down)

I do think Miami handled the Head Coaching issue hella dirty yo, like the coaching staff was packing there ish thinking they were out along with there Head Coach, the guy who brought in an offense to somewhat bring that organization back to life

Get the fuck out of this thread please.

Stick to your Baseball!

That is how everyone will always see it.

Stats don’t matter. Ask Mr Deskpound Marino.

Super good QB who never had a defense. He finally retired and Miami’s defense gets awesome and they have no offense.

LOL MIAMI.

This seemed pretty tame arsenal

Ricky Williams of Miami Dolphins says he’s ready to leave, rips Tony Sparano - ESPN

Here’s a more complete article that details how Ricky spent an hour on-air ripping the organization, his teammates, his head coach, and how unhappy he was with his playing time: Ricky Williams Rips Tony Sparano, Dolphins Teammates on Way Out Door

On the difference between New England and Miami:

On the media not asking him about his future with Miami:

On Williams not being happy with Brandon Marshall:

He didn’t go all Chad Dukes/Lavar Arrington on the Dolphins, but it just goes on and on and on like that… for an hour.

EDIT: The truth behind how those unseated fans were treated - http://espn.go.com/blog/afcnorth/post/_/id/24526/page/espntexas/a-steeler-fan’s-awful-super-bowl-experience

I hope every single one of the 400 fans come foward, tell their story, and pretty much make the NFL bend over and take it. Lol at the guy rebuking the NFL’s claim of free food/drinks/merchandise. This is going to be the best story of the off-season, no doubt.

EDIT2: Seat-Gate just keeps getting better - http://newsfeed.time.com/2011/02/09/super-bowl-nfl-seatgate-controversy/ This is everything I wanted to happen to Jerry Jones and his smug skeleton looking face.

In all honesty i hope there is a lockout…

The panthers should trade down and try to get more picks.

Are you for real? monbaby has been posting in this thread for years, and he’s a Saints fan. They sucked until recently.

You are such a ******. You suddenly turn into this huge Brady fan after they cheat to a couple of SBs.

You know what the funniest part about this is? Everyone knows I was on Brady’s nuts and I’d done Peyton.

And yet I know Brady is shit and just cheated for that. The dude is a JAG. He’s a nobody. The guy is what, 4-6 in his last 10 in the playoffs? He can’t win anything after Spygate.

They had enough tape to get them through another year and then that was it. The Giants actually ran a fake practice and changed everything up afterwards cuz they knew the Pats were cheating.

Patriots fans are a joke. So are Steelers fans honestly. I am so glad the Packers won.

We da best

So the owners and players are apart by $1B. Owners straight walked away and canceled all future meetings. Bad news bears guys…

I think Rodgers has a good chance of surpassing Favre, as long as he stays healthy, but you can’t look at the numbers and say that Rodgers is better than Favre. This is a pass-friendly era (compare the number of 4000 yard passers 15 years ago to now), and it has been that way since early-2000s. What Rodgers does have an edge on Favre in is the ability to scramble and gain good yardage (which Favre in his prime could do, but not to the extent of Rodgers), throw the ball deep for accuracy, and not force it when nothing is there (Favre throwing to triple coverage wasn’t uncommon, and he was still doing it in his later years, example, last years playoff game against the Saints when he could have ran for little bit of yardage to setup FG distance, since there was room, instead he throws it across his body to a double covered Sidney Rice). I’m sure this season makes it seem like Favre wasn’t good, but there are many factors due to that. He might not be the best ever, but he is definitely one of the best.

I think what made Favre really popular, wasn’t just that he was the best QB for a certain time span (mid to late 90s), but that he tended to force the ball into areas where you normally wouldn’t force them into. It paid off many times, but almost as many times, it cost the team the game.

The owners have all the leverage. The NBA players are going to have even less leverage, since most teams are losing money, and too many players getting paid more money than they should be making.

Owners would still make money even if no games are played.

I hope not.

I have to agree to an extent about both ā€œfansā€. I live in Baltimore and for some fucking reason there are so many steelers fans here. I’m 30 years old and I don’t remember these steelers fans in Baltimore City when I was growing up. Shoot the city had the CFL team at one point. But I do remember when the Ravens won the SB in 2000 alooooooooooooooooot of people became Ravens fans. As for the Pats they haven’t won anything without a certain kicker.

And you act like I haven’t been posting in here for years either??

I been going at it with monbaby since for ever, once upon a time we were temp cool then the lights went out and he lost all sanity.

Who cares how long he’s been a supposed saints fan, yea he comes in and says Jets Saints superbowl once out the year, talks some shit about everyone elses team then ducks the full season to dodge all the shit he deserves coming his way. Never shows support through out the season.
I repped the saints harder then he the year they drafted Closton I did the same during there championship year, hell I repped them harder then he did this year and talked shit to shinblanka about them defeating the falcons and gaining a little bit of stride.
Hell im not even a damn saints fan!!!

I was here when nori pushed his shit in verbally and he went missing almost 2 season… NORI of all fucking people!!

Also your hatred is so stupid and blind, did you not see Bradys numbers this year…without spygate…why do I even have to keep saying this, piggy back on spygate all you want, the patriots have been more then relevant since then GET OVER IT!!!

You saying ā€œThey haven’t won a title since thenā€ like titles are easy as fuck to get 4 times in a row, go ask the steelers whats up, teams in the NFL continue to grow and get better, Cardinals,Green Bay,Panthers,Seachickens all new entries into the superbowl, only the Patriots and Steelers have made consistent returns the Peyton Manning choked yet again against the Saints and like he always does

Not that this is any great shock, but… Colts release injury-prone Bob Sanders - NFL - Yahoo! Sports

He’s 30. Injury riddled. A depleted Colts defense doesn’t even want him. I hope he’ll see a career rejuvenation ala Charles Woodson somewhere, but based off the way Sanders plays (big hit, risky), I don’t think it’ll happen.

It’s not about the Colts not wanting him, it’s about them paying lots of money for him not being able to play. If he was healthy, it would make the team even better. I don’t know if he should keep playing, though; he just can’t stay durable, and that will effect him after he’s done playing.

I think he’s best suited to a backup roll, at this point.

If anybody actually reads cool-breeze’s lengthy and english butchering rants, give me a summary and let me know if I should respond. Or respond on my behalf if possible.

Dear Cool-Breeze:

I agree with you. I’m sorry. Hug me and let’s make up.

Signed, Serpent.

Due to his health issues, even if he was being paid $2M per year, I can’t imagine a scenario where they’d want him eating up a roster slot, especially when they need a ton of work on defense. Yes, him being paid an insane amount of money was a large factor in releasing him, but even if he was cheap, I still don’t think they’d want him on their team given the fact that he never plays football.

Even Sanders has admitted that his high-risk/high-reward style of play has contributed to his injury/health issues. Dude just needs to play smarter and rely more on technique than raw physical talent… which he might not have as much anymore.
