Then you didn’t listen to me.

:coffee:

I TOLD YOU SO!

Yea I had Indy vs GB as the SB before season…

And I stick by my having Rodgers as my QB to build a franchise …

But their should be a prop bet for tommarow 1 to 1 favre annouces his retirement tommarow and is all over GB’s dick.

Packers offense is 234908239048230948 times better than the Ravens offense. Also, we don’t let Big Ben throw 60 yard bombs over two defenders heads.

My sig has been changed to commemorate this occasion.

Whole game changed when Woodson went out. Jarrett Bush was making some good plays when he was in his proper role, but when asked to cover Woodson’s duties he fucked up about half a dozen times easily. All worked out in the end though.

Rodgers did a mini-championship belt celebration when he was holding the trophy, then Matthews put an actual championship belt over his shoulder. Too good, although I wanted Rodgers to run for a TD so he could do a full-on belt celebration.

wtf, on Yahoo’s main page they talking about a critical non-call at the end. What the fuck were they watching? Not even close to a critical non-call.

Because it’s yahoo, they are kinda like fox. (Most of their main sports writer are ok though)

Last play was good, nothing should be called.

BTW, want to talk about non call?
GB vs AZ, that was a face mask on A-Rod that didn’t get call, the ref admitted he didn’t catch the face mask because he was looking at the football.
AZ vs Pitt, Warner’s last throw is highly debatable that it could been a in-complete or a fumble, yet no fucking review from the booth at all.

But let’s not argue that, pointless now.

At first glance, it looked liked Williams interfered. Then when Fox replayed the inside angle, it was clear that there was no interference. If people watch the replay, they’ll see what we all saw; no interference.

Also, Jerry Jones is not getting another Super Bowl for a long, long time. Ice mercing people, hundreds of fans not having seats just hours before kickoff, etc. GGPO.

EDIT: AZ/GB Wild Card just brought up bad memories. That facemask was so blatant and obvious, yet no flag. That’s alright though, because that just made our team want it that much more. Also, that was essentially Aaron’s coming out party to the nation.

Im hoping that the Packers give Al a ring just for being associated with the organization. Dude had to deal with Bret and his BS for too long.

Are teams allowed to do that? I know someone here linked that article about NFL giving the winning team 150 rings to disperse as they see fit, but are there any rules about giving a ring to a non-employee of the winning team? That’d be nuts, although I don’t know if Harris would even want it.

Late post, but I just got back from Down Town Green Bay (Was actually at my Uncle’s place to watch with friends and family first though, just went to DT for Post-Game fun)…and all I can say is…that its absolutely nuts there!!! :china::china: I’m sitting there seeing white people climbing trees, random girls coming to me giving me hugs and kisses. I swear to all of you, I shared saliva with about 10+ different women tonight, and I’m usually not that type of a guy to just fly around like that, but hey, all for the Sake that we are once again…Title Town USA!!!

I’ve waited 13 years for this occur, and 13 years ago, I was in my mid-late teens however now I will relish this moment, this time, this place, and this reward. The Packers of this year has been absolutely unbelievable, and at times, I felt like our chances of going to the SB were over when we had 6 starters on IR. However the Pack played lights out…I mean, we lost Driver and Woodson, and I thought that Big-Ben and the Steelers offense were going to kill us.

You saw the lack of leadership on defense as soon as Woodson was sidelined to when his presence was on the field…I mean, they only scored 3 pts when Woodson was there.

However besides the 2 miscules on Starks blocking which were shifting the game to the Steelers and all of the 10 million dropped passes by the WR core, Aaron Rodgers hung it out, played like a Champion, and ultimately won it like a Champion.

I wished that they would have put more camera time on Donald Driver walking around with the trophy, because to me, he’s been arguably one of my most beloved Packer. To see him emotional and in tears and holding that Trophy just like Reggie White did back in 1997 in SBXXXI, you realize just how incredibly hard it is to get to the Big Game, and win it all.

All I can say is, to all of the Packer Fans on here, jump for joy, and for me, I’ll be paying that $5.00 to go to Lambeau Field and give them a great welcoming party. To the Steelers Fans, your franchise is a phenomenal and rich one, your team nearly gave me heart attacks on so many levels in SB 45, and I have absolute Respect for the Black and Yellow, so many thanks to your team, because you guys were a most worthy opponent.

I’m not going to sleep anytime soon, and as I said, unlike SBXXXI where I believed we would go every year, I’m going to treasure this moment. As Mike Holmgren once said and I believe it (maybe because I’m bias but oh well) “Gentlemen, this trophy was named after Vince Lombardi, you play in Green Bay, and as much it means to other teams, it means more to us!”

The Lombardi Trophy is coming Home! Vince, I hope your proud!

If they wanted to be 1000 extra rings to give to their illegitimate children they can.

Those rings aren’t really that precious to be honest with you. To players it’s a sign of winning, but to everyone else it’s just another fancy ring to show off. I’ve heard story of owners buying for all their nephews, nieces and the whole shebang. It’s more of a sign of “Hey look at me I’m the shit” type of deal. Flaunt their win and what not. :coffee:

I have to agree with you on Donald driver, I love that guy, hes worked so hard, and has pretty much gone under appreciated by the league/press for years, guy is so clutch, for him to finally win a ring, is just such a feel good story.

QFT, I know of a guy that was a ballboy for the Rockets when they won their championships and he wears the rings they gave him like he’s the Dream.

I honestly would have supported either team but I am glad the Packers won. They deserve this and have been playing stellar this year. Rodgers has been playing great for a while as well, although credit to the coaches for getting this team to win the big game after suffering injuries all over the squad all season long and even in the championship game.

Good game, got scary in the second half for Green Bay fandom, but a great game and win, with all phases of the GB Packers team showing up.

Rodgers has been great since he took over in 2008, but all those close games back then were lost due to having a suspect defense. Our defense was MVP tonight; Collins pick-six, Matthews forced fumble, Williams had two HUGE pass defended plays in the game, etc. Rodgers will almost always give you a 300 yard, multi-TD game on 60%+ completion, but it’s our defense that has sealed close games for us all season, and all post-season especially.

Definitely, Clay Matthews hit for the fumble was the changing point of the game that allowed the Packers to get their SB win. They played absolutely amazing especially when missing their veteran leader Charles Woodson, and for a time another play maker Shields. A ton of credit to the defense, and all I can say is, my hear would have been better if all of the WR’s would have caught their balls.

Because it would have been like 40-10 or whatever. With this momentum I am hoping that we carry this into the next season (if we have it), and that the Packers will in fact stay healthy, because lets be real, if we could play this good with 15 people on IR, imagine if we have a fully healthy team that brought their A-Game day in and out next season. I don’t want to sound like I’m jumping the gun too quickly, but you’d have to believe we’d once again be the most feared team coming in next year. 2nd youngest team in the NFL with the average age around 27 yrs old, we have some serious potential to do a lot of great things in the coming future for the Green Bay Franchise.

All I can say is, to go from Brett Favre who delivered us from the darkness and into the light to win a Super Bowl, then to jump from a Future Hall of Fame Quarterback to another phenomenal QB who has now brought us a SB, I am just absolutely blessed.

Interesting tidbit of information from an espn.com article:

Yo. Packers = ultimate swag. You can try to hate them, but you know you can’t.

LMAO, McCarthy is da man!!! hahaha
