They probably tried really hard to trade him and realize that no one wants them.

maybe it’s just tied in with the qb winning the award nearly every year now and good college qbs don’t really translate to good pro qbs

good o lines make people like bulgar, palmer, derek anderson, etc. look much much better than they actually are. any pro qb getting 5-7 step drops every down will tear up defenses except rex grossman maybe

i am. leinart got a raw deal imo. he lost his job back in '05/06 bcuz he got hurt and he’s been backing up warner ever since (with good reason). but he was by far the best QB on the team and he got cut for no real reason. derek anderson is terrible, i just hop leinart gets a shot somewhere else to prove the haters wrong.
leinart hasn’t look that good even after years of riding the bench and developing as a QB. I don’t see him getting that much better than he currently is, and he’s about average right now, so…

So basically I’m hearing that Derek Anderson sucks? Did you guys forget about the two well above average years he had with Cleveland? IIRC he lit it up the year Braylon Edwards almost caught 20 TDs…He hasn’t had a year comparable since, but I think he’s gonna be alright this year…
He didn’t have two well above average years. He had one average year. He was bad the year before, bad the year after, and awful last year. We’re talking about a dude who completed only 56% of his passes in his career year and completed only 44% last season…so, yeah.
Matt L sucked. reggie bush carried that team and everyone knows it sir. Reggie has been ok in the NFL. He isn’t the next barry sanders like espn tried to force down my throut.
