I said if it’s official. Until someone from PG’s camp comes out and says that it’s a compound, keep hope alive (I haven’t watched any Sports News outlet all day so if the word HAS come out from there at the time of this post I was unaware).
How the fuck does having a compound fracture mean his career is done? Lots of injuries can involve broken skin and Doctors don’t just “glue” his bones back together without disinfecting and stabilizing the wound first and any rod or pin that gets inserted into his leg would be sterile. The biggest concern is nerve damage and right now there hasn’t been any statements released saying thats the case.
Besides, it’s 2014. “Done” back in the day isn’t the same as now (See Shaun Livingston, Jorge Garbajosa, Kevin Ware, etc) . At the very least, he still has one great leg and could be a spotup shooter if it were that serious.
I think it’s weird that guys who were becoming the best at their positions (Rose, George) both get bad injuries right when they were about to reach their peak. The good news is both Rose and George both signed fat contracts before getting injured which is great but also another weird similarity between the two.
I mean really lets make some basketball IQ out of this since you guys like fantasy anyway. How many SG’s would you take before Paul George? Who and why? Because I never really thought about it before but Paul George is probably the most balanced SG out there whose young and with good size.
rods and plates can put him back together fine. it helps that he’s in top tier physical shape as well. with medical knowledge being as good as it is, even compound is pretty whatever in terms of recovery.
the outlier is obviously complications, but it sounds like surgery went fine and no additional damage was found. now its just basic recovery and healing, then getting back into shape.
Nah, more like he has to know what that feels like to lose a season. Feels for him, that way. Knows more about that than mostly anyone else in the building.
Granted the round up of video right after sportscenter blowout, chose Fareid on the bench smiling, seemed strange, but that had to be a long time after right? Tons of downtime, everyone there, don’t really know what to think. Plenty of the same reaction by everyone already. But since that guy punches holes in the wall after losing to Golden State in the playoffs, who knows why he’s always smiling.
(They framed his hole in the wall and labeled it.)
come to think of it
Amare punched a fire extinguisher thing, cut up his hand too right?
