Paul George broke is leg off in Hibbert’s wife and then breaks his leg, some sort of weird kharma.
Welp back to the stone ages we go if so. Maybe we can get a 2nd dream team when they let NBA players in international games afterwards again.
How you break your leg like that and not lose your shit is amazing to me. Feel bad for the guy, he’s really talented and had/has a ton of potential, but just the way that injury looked…hard to see that happening any time soon. Sucks for Indy and the league, he was one of the few young players I enjoyed watching.
He was definitely in shock, must have not felt the pain as badly until he was transferred to the hospital.
Yeah, that’s something to note. Compare Silva who you could hear scream from miles away (for good reason obviously).
Just…a sad night in any case.
I really don’t wanna go back to the day when there were no stars on team US and we had to root for a bunch of role players on NBA teams being starters for team USA.
It’s bad for Basketball if the Owners Overreact to this freak injury and add more rules.
eh, far from done.
Bone is bone. shit heals right back up and stronger than before, as long as nothing fucked up happens or he doesn’t magically become 60 years old. he won’t be back this season (4-6 mo+ of atrophy is gonna suck), but he’ll be back.
its the joints that you need to worry about.
sucks for pg. never good to be on the horror real. but the snaps don’t even bother me anymore. I can’t watch the livingston one, but the ware, silva, pg, sid vicious don’t really worry me even with the gore. i saw it and was like “that sucks”.
damn that was horrific. feel so bad for pg. it’s time to give up team usa to the d leaguers or some shit.
I had thought it was a compound at first. As you saw by my later posts, when I realized that the break was pretty much the same as Anderson Silva’s I relented.
ah, word.
anyways, pg be all like…

probably back to college players again
Sid Vicious accident was def the worst I ever saw.

Sid Vicious accident was def the worst I ever saw.
Ah man, don’t remind me of Sid. I JUST got that out of my mind.
Fuck man… I saw the news at the bar didn’t know it was this bad.
I did say aloud, “Fuck.” just at the prospect of losing PG because once you put on the USA jersey you are on my team until the tournament is done.
PG’s parents were in the crowd watching. That’s fucked up.
Faried almost lost his lunch after seeing the replay.

It is a compound fracture.

It is a compound fracture.
Worst case, career is over and he walks with a limp for the rest of his life. Best cause, youth and exceptional repair has him back with reduced athleticism.
Regardless, this is doomsday for the Pacers after giving him a new contract. They might want to go through with the Hibbert trade and start rebuilding with draft picks.
That’s the fourth worst injury I’ve seen in sports behind
#1 Allan Ray getting his eye poked out
#2 Napoleon Kaufman getting his leg bent the wrong way
#3 Lawrence Taylor ending Joe Theisman
I remember reading posts of people saying how it’s selfish of NBA players to not want to play for the USA team, just because they are a) lazy or b) don’t want to risk injury. Well, I hope this shuts them up.
This is obviously a horrible injury, but honestly it was a freak accident. I hope this doesn’t prevent other NBA players from wanting to play in the USA team. Insane injuries (not exactly like this because of the basketball post difference) can happen regardless if it’s for team USA, Raptors, or wherever.

It is a compound fracture.
If it’s official then his career really is done.
