I thought it was because he hasn’t had any box score stat average out in double digits for his whole career. This guy seems perfect for title hunt teams that need a body on the roster to produce a little bit, not a team with a 2 year clock to commit to getting another ring with Kobe, like the L.A.L. organization has pledged to do. You get these kind of players after the blue chips come your way. If you really need to round out the roster for cheap in the mean time, call up the D-league. Comparable work rate for significantly less money. I wouldn’t even mind another tank year at this point, if we’re going to suck, suck the hardest for more ping pong balls.
