The Official NBA 2014-2015 Thread: Simp City

Birdman just resigned with Heat.

Oooooh, these Heat fan rants on Twitter are making my day while all these signings are going DOWN.

I can’t totally relate to what you’re going through, I’m not taking this as hard as you and Mike Ryan, but c’mon bro…nobody cares about Finals and championships? What does that even mean?

And of course we were gonna have his back. We’re his fans. That’s what we’re supposed to do.

It means people keep saying dumb shit like we’re not supposed to be mad because we won championships and went to the Finals. It’s not about any of that and has nothing to do with why fans are bitter. To not understand why Heat fans are bitter is to not be a Heat fan at all.

We took this guy in when the world hated him. No, we were NOT his fans before he came here. We became fans the more we wanted to see him succeed. And then he dumps us for those cornballs in Ohio, the ones wearing the same old jerseys they burned up years ago. Are you kidding me?

While I don’t agree with your logic on everything you said, I agree that it’s shitty in any situation when someone tells you how you should feel about something. But don’t get carried away questioning my fanhood because I don’t see it the same way you do. It’s just two different world views. I choose to focus on what I’ve gained instead of lamenting what I’ve lost. My way isn’t right and your way isn’t wrong.

When he was a free agent in 2010, he was “supposed to” stick with the same team because that’s what Jordan and other superstars did. We benefited from that decision. When he was a free agent just now, he was “supposed to” stick with Miami if he wanted to cement his legacy and rack up chips. We didn’t benefit from this one. LeBron has shown that he’s willing to buck trends and do what he feels is right for his career.

I’m not questioning your fandom. I’m just tired of people telling us how we’re supposed to feel.

Friday we were fine. Yesterday we were enraged when we found out about his secret meeting with Gilbert days before meeting Riley. LeBron had it all decided and gave us the runaround with false hopes. Gave Gilbert four hours, gave Riley one hour. Probably would’ve drafted somebody else other than his “favorite pg” too.

Shit is ridiculous when you let somebody have you in the palm of their hand, and they roll you up like paper and throw you away.

AWWW YISSSS

Can’t wait for the Bromance he will have with Swaggy P for #SWAGSANITY

I look at it this way. The finest chick I’ve ever seen breaks up with her long term ex BF, an obsessive crazy midwest dude. Her and I start hooking up. We have mind blowing sex for 4 years straight. I know that she was pretty stuck on that ex BF, and even though she’s never told me that we’re gonna be exclusive long term, I kind of start to believe that that’s how it’s gonna be. Eventually she ends up running back to him. Instead of being salty about not having dat ass anymore, I choose to get over it, keep it moving, and cherish those memories that I have stored in my spank bank. Plus I know that I’ve got a “Luol Deng” level chick on deck, which is a pretty good consolation prize.

Not a bad way to rebound after losing James. I like that front line. Gonna be a defining season for Wade and Bosh. I’m really interested to see how they step up to the challenge. I’m fuckin hype for a possible Cavs-Heat playoffs.

Bulls finally bringing over Nikola Mirotic. Another big man. Wonder where exactly he’s going to fit. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nikola_Mirotić

Likely as Taj’s backup. Gasol can back up Noah.

So Heat committed to 12 players. Wade and Haslem sign tomorrow.

Anyone else will be vet minimums. Wouldn’t be shocked if Jameer or amnestied Boozer came around for min salary. Jameer wants to stay in Florida and Boozer lives here, still cool with Deng.

Fun day… I’m satisfied.

Now I can go back to focusing on the rest of the league.

It was all his fault lol.

#SWAGSANITY nigga

Jeremy Lin about to cash in on that west coast Chinatown money.

Actually I don’t like it. Wiz are in this weird age range where their front court is … ahem ‘veterans’, while their backcourt are young bucks…who like uptempo play. Ariza was a perfect blend. Pierce comes ot us cheaper and gives us ‘credibility’, but we lose speed/length/defense/minutes and instead of getting someone we can ‘build’ with for Wall & Beal - we’ve got a nicotine patch, with a lot of people I’ve talked to - hoping that Durant makes that ‘home town move’ like LBJ for some odd reason. I’d feel different if this was 3 years ago and a 3-4 year deal, but its just a one year deal with an option for a second. Wiz need a stabilizing presence long term at that position.

This popped up on my FB…thought it was pretty good

Basically if everyone did the LBJ thing and went home. My Wiz & Hornets look pretty damn good…Chicago of course is no slouch.

The salty tears of Heats fans are laughable. The king took what would be on the cusp of a lottery team, to 4 straight finals and 2 championship. If you are a heats fan, you will continue to be a heats fan regardless what one player does. He put Miami on the map and made the team relevant again. All this BS about how he used Miami, how the heats took him in while everyone hates him, how he turned his back on miami in now… get the fuck out of here. Get off your high horse thinking Miami’s the only team that would have accepted him in. Any team he would have choose in the 2010 decision would have gladly take James in and take all the BS in exchange for 2 champs. And its not like his was a spare of the moment decision he made in 2010. Heats along with James plan this shit long ago with the cap space clearing and the big 3 meeting during the Olympics. James owes Heats nothing, not as much as he does Cleveland. Stay salty

If hes done, he will be missed.

Heat fans don’t pay attention to people that put an ‘s’ at the end of Heat. I can tell you that much.

But again, who are any of you to tell Heat fans how to feel? Do you think it’s just Heat fans? It’s the players too.

Shabazz unfollowed LeBron today and deleted all his tweets to him.

When asked about the Cavs, Udonis said this:

Again, this isn’t about making Finals and winning championships. This is about facts that have come to light over the last 48 hours that has made people mad.

So if you don’t know what’s going on… stfu and pay attention to your own team(s).

We need a Cavs- Heat series this upcoming season

Riley said he was pissed in press conference after Finals, but now we know why. He tried to talk to LeBron and was told to speak to his agent. Seriously… Riley had a direct line to LeBron for years, and now all of a sudden he had to go through his agent. So that’s why Riley talked about “having the guts” to stick around and fight through, because that’s when he got the impression that LeBron was leaving.

So LeBron gave the team the runaround for a month, pretending he was trying to decide even though his mind was made up before Finals even ended (or probably before they even started). He was just buying time. Dinner with Bosh and Wade… just a smokescreen. Had his secret meeting with Dan Gilbert, which was four hours. Gilbert lied about it on Twitter, talking about how he was relaxing in his backyard. Finally had “the guts” to see Riley… yet it was only for an hour. The writing was on the wall.

People talk about he gave Miami a better goodbye than Cleveland. Which is worst: blindsided and backstabbed, or dragged through the mud and backstabbed? It makes no fucking difference, the wound hurts.

And Heat players are pissed because just like Riley, LeBron cut off all contact to them as well. He pretty much said this in his letter… he hadn’t talked to a bunch of the guys yet. So outside of Bosh and Wade, a lot of guys feel the same way the fans do… they got dragged through the mud for nothing. They opted out for nothing.
