So i got the perfect ending and it wasn’t too bad if only because it hints that Shepherd could be alive after the credits
Yeah, that ending… Usually after I beat a Mass Effect game I immediately start my second playthrough as Femshep. After beating part 3 I just shut my Xbox off. I don’t regret playing the games, they are all great. I just regret believing that my choices would effect the story in some meaningful way.

Beat the game tonight, yeah I really do not feel like playing through it again. The ending was in a word, terrible. Even the “perfect” ending was horrendously bad, which is the one I got.
Got the achievement for beating all the MP maps on Gold with Reth and Weeks. 4 Infiltrators against the Geth is solid, Infiltrators are the easy mode class again.

Loving the game so far, im getting really worried hearing pretty much the entire internet hating on the ending. Makes me wonder just how bad it really is, I mean, how could they fuck this up?

So. To answer my own question. Once you fill the reputation bar the ratio of paragon to renegade can not change.
The internet is spot on, this game was one hell of a ride until they slap you with this terrible ass ending. It flat out made me not want to go on another playthrough. Terrible way to end the trilogy.

…it doesn’t matter? you unlock paragon/renegade responses based on your total reputation, not the portion of each. I had 75% paragon and 25% renegade at the end but I could pick red answers right up to the very end of the game. you gotta be pretty dedicated to be all renegade in this game too, because there is one thing in particular you can do that is straight up an evil move. most evil thing Shephard can do i nthe whole trilogy.
lol it has stopped me from more playthroughs too. While I was still playing the game I could hardly wait to run through it again, got to the ending: “nah fuck it, I’ll YouTube the rest.”

Or maybe beat it, and then turn it off before the cinematic? The internet has me seriously contemplating that.
I haven’t started 3 yet, about to finish my part 2 file very soon.
But man, the more and more I hear about the view points on endings, the more I’m turned away from completing my file.
So many people are like “Meh… the ending is… well… it needed work”.
The story was so well written… WHAT WENT WRONG???
almost nearing the end of the game I think. I have like 2578 military strength (like 95%). any reason why my Readiness rating has been 50% the entire game? when is it going to change? If its a big spoiler or something then never mind lol.
Also yeah the ending…Im worried about that. The entire trilogy has gone so well in writing and story telling. Seriously, how do you do an amazing job the entire way, and then fuck it up at the end? WTF?!?
The trilogy feels like the Matrix. I am glad that the second one turned me off so badly with the gameplay changes. The direction that it went in the third would have really pissed me off if I still cared about the world they set up.
The story is solid in the third and the character progression is all there. they got rid of the annoying things like the mako car and scanning planets for a looong time. Its more focused on action and story and thats it. Part 2 did annoy me scanning planets and the story was alright but not too bad.
Im just mainly concerned about this ending thats supposedly so bad, the entire internet is crying foul.
I made that comparison a couple pages back when I was talking about the ending. Actually I said the Matrix sequels were better. Can’t wait for the next IP Bioware creates. The first game will be great since we won’t have anything to compare it to but then they’ll find a way to fuck up the sequel (Jade Empire 2?).
To me Bioware has turned into this.
You need to play MP to get your readiness up, they lied to you when they said you don’t need to play MP. 2578 isn’t shit for military strength, mine was over 7000 by the time I went to the final battles and there was stuff I still left on the table. You need Military Strength of over 5000 to get the best ending and some other things as well.
WTF, what about the people who dont have internet or Xbox live gold? They get shafted no matter what? WTF!?
