The proceeds from the Finalroundbats’ tournament donations will go towards the winners’ round-trip ticket to Atlanta Ga for Final Round XIV 2011!
Party Fee: 2,000 (Food, Non-Alcoholic Drinks & Room Fee.)
You are more than welcome to bring your own liquor as long as you are 20 years old.
Tournament Donation Fee: 1,000 per entry.
FINALROUNDBATS TOURNAMENT RULES:
*This is a BYOC: Bring Your On Controller tourney or use the ones that we have.
*No turbo buttons. You will be DQ automatically.
*No Multiple Button Mapping on a stick. You will be DQ automatically.
*No Pausing during the match. You will be DQ automatically.
*Switching characters during the tournament is permitted.
*All Matches are Single Elimination until the Grand Final which is the best 2/3.
*FR Ranbats Points:
1st = 10pts
2nd = 7pts
3rd = 5pts
4th = 3pts
5th = 1pts thanks for coming! LOL
*1p - 2p sides will be Decided by: Paper, Rock, Scissor.

Are airthrows in japanese-fighting-game speak just a japanese-y sounding version of the english, or is there a purely japanese term?

Whats the arcade scene like in Japan? I’ve always viewed it as arcades packed with really good players from all over the city…

I would SO go to Tokyo ranbats if I had time/money… and I would SO get worked by everyone and I would SO cry on Scotty P’s man-bosom afterwards for failing so hard. lol
I want to try to go this summer. Hopefully, they’ll still have that Dragon Quest bar/cafe out there and those Super SFIV meals… dunno how long they’ll last.
How high level of Japanese players are we allowed to bring?
I say as high as it gets. The intension of this ranbats is to bring Japanese representative to Final Round. I think it’s a plus to have high level Japanese player.

Reno, that guide you have up there is really nice. I thought footsies was “tachimawari” though. Am I wrong? Can you say it more than one way or am I just confused?
tachimawari sounds like footsies too to me. though from my experience, people use ashibaraisen(or ashibarai gousen) more when it comes to footsies. imo
