Killer Instinct embodies tournament play entirely. The developers must’ve figured “If they’re only gonna use 5 or 6 characters, why give them more than that?”

Keep in mind Killer Instinct is more of a project than a game, for Xbox. It showcases the ability to patch games and add DLC seamlessly (without the need for other people to own that DLC).
Season 2 comes out soon, and soon I will have an XB1 (REALLY debating getting one tomorrow) so it’s all good.
I suppose, and now that I think about it, a fighting game is a pretty decent testing ground for that feature, but they could’ve had like 15 characters in the game at a set price instead of the unorthodox pricing scale. It made the game look more like a cash grab and less like a ‘project’ in my eyes.
I don’t plan on getting an Xbone until the Halo MCC drops, since I won’t know anyone with an XB1 until then.
NHL comes out next month, and I wanna make damn sure I am ready for that.
There is an option for Killer Instinct to get it with all characters (as they come out), like a normal game, from what I recall. I like the idea of just getting the characters you want though. There are characters in SF4 I would never ever touch ever. KI is basically Microsoft showing other companies that XB1 is a place for fighting games.

Not sure. I know that Melee is after KI, and Ultra is the last event of the weekend, but if you’re in the eastern standard time, I think that 6 pacific will become 9 eastern.

They’re capturing it via analog cables so they might be using different stuff which leads to different levels.
Is there a results page? Haven’t had time to watch anything yet. What are they up to now and what is left?
