It’s actually a new TV series, we don’t know if it’ll follow the manga but that would be amazing, by the time it’s out the manga will either be done or very close to from the looks of it.
Yeah those chimera are awesome, they don’t take shit from ed
So the remake anime is coming out next month and I’m pretty psyched.
Apparently it will mostly follow the manga, with the exception of including an anime-only character created by Hiromu Arakawa herself named Issac.
A lot of the voice cast has changed, too; with the exception the Elric bros., Armstrong, Hughes and Bradley. Interesting to note that Lust now shares the same voice actress as another equally evil bitch - I-no from GGXX.
You’re a bit mistaken, Tizoc. That’s Lust who’s being voiced by Ino’s VA, not Envy.
Envy this time is voiced by the lady behind the voices of Detective Conan and Dilandau from Escaflowne; Minami Takayama. That’s also a prefect fit, IMO.
[details=Spoiler] Yoki hit Pride with a car, and then Lion King threw Kimbley’s dying body at him. That had me dying. It’s like when that fat guy on DBZ cut off Vegeta’s tail.
The best part about FMA is how they fit all this funny stuff into super serious fights. It’s so nice to read a manga where exciting things happen almost every chapter. That was too good when the Armstrong siblings teamed up to fight sloth.
That Lion chomp was on some serious cheer at the movie theater hypeness.
It was super funny when Mustang and Riza were just standing there talking while everyone was getting beat up. Then ended it in one snap.[/details]
Look at these new posers coming in saying they read the manga.
Az will give theory after theory about poopy Nalto but has nothing to say about the best Manga out there?
One Piece gets a 3000 page thread and all FMA gets is me Tizoc, Ferd, and sometimes Gasaraki? Malarky.
I’d think this thread might pick up when the remake airs.
I’m one of those posers who read a little bit of the manga a while back, but sought to watch the anime instead. Been reminding myself to read the entire thing when it’s done, but hearing news of the remake being more faithful to the manga, I’d thought that I’d rather get to watch the remake instead.
…Unless that one diverges completely from the manga later on too (beyond the inclusion of that Issac fella) :looney:
Naw, I don’t think one is better than the other, that’s how much love I got for them two. But I guess I look forward to OP more since I know there’s alot of story left to tell, while FMA looks like its entering the home stretch and it’s making me salty, but I think the thread will pick up alot of traffic with the new anime series.
Reading that chapter makes me wanna tear off my boss’s jugular all manly like.
I used to buy the books when they came out here, but I fell behind sometime around when Ed and Al were in Briggs. I finally just read it one OneManga.
Looking forward to seeing Roy give Envy the fiery pimp slap of retribution. I’m really glad they’re making the new anime, I can’t count how many times I thought “Man, this would be so awesome to see animated!”
