great ending. loose ends tied up, characters still have goals and aspirations. time jump happened at the very end instead of that usual big gap in the middle lots of shonen ends up doing.
kudos to arakawa for knowing how to write a properly structured story.
Great ending to a great manga. All of the plot lines were resolved, and we got to see the characters continue on with their lives in their own directions.
Sort of sad that it’s finished, it was one of my favorite manga currently still running (the other being One Piece). I’m definitely interested in seeing what Arakawa’s next work will be.
:crybaby: Why must it end :crybaby:…Ending did the series justice though, FMA was top notch from start to finish and there will never be anything like it.
Great ending, i’m really glad they devoted 80% of the 112 pages to resolving plot lines, rather than a battle that would have been fun, but would have got us nowhere plot-wise.
I remember when this all began for me. Watched it back in 2004 on Adult Swim and it got me interested in anime more so than before. It’s both great and sad to see such a great manga come to an end. I have no complaints with the ending. It’s been a fun six years.
Ed gave up being able to use alchemy in exchange for Al, which destroyed his gate. However, he was able to come back through Al’s gate, because Al’s body was on the other side. If Roy did the same, he’d have no way back to the real world from the other side because his gate would be gone.
I jumped on the fma train very late, but I’m glad I actually took the time to read a great portion of the manga and watch the anime eps (brotherhood). While there were certain battles or scenarios I would have loved to see, I have no complaints about how the story unfolded. It stayed consistent from start to finish. Great series.
shit man with so many shitty shonens and general fucked up mangas and animes this was probnably one of the only shonens to stay interresting to the end. shit was awesome. this series toook a huge dump on series like nalto, pleach, pun piece and all those other fucked up series. now that i think about it, was this the last good shonen ever? theres really almost no reason for me to check out anime or manga. as soon as boti ends as well, ill have a hard time finding something decent.
