King Bradley, coming straight into his castle. King of the castle, king of the castle. Then Greed showing up for a rematch. Woo Woooooooo. Neat to learn how Hohenheim got to know all his souls, I wonder what flasky’s digilution is? MYSTERIES! Probably like all of the homonculus powers combined like captain planet.
Ling Yao in ep 15 was hilarious. I like how he’s got a playful attitude in one moment, yet he seems to have his own plans and takes it pretty seriously. The fights between Ed/Al and Lan Fan/Fu were pretty good as well.
Just watched up to 16 and finished it. MAN, the pacing is fast. I find the Eastern characters interesting, but not having read the manga I was like “OMG filler”. Filler or not I am enjoying the pacing up to this point, but it does seem kinda fast for just 16 episodes…Greed for example lol
So what’s this about a key scene in this week’s episode being altered compared to the manga I’ve been hearing about? Despite that, it was quite a depressing one.
[details=Spoiler]The Elrics don’t learn about Hughes death from Maria Ross. Instead Ross is arrested first, and the boys read about her arrest as a suspect in Hughes murder case in the newspaper. When they run out to get more info about it, Winry then finds the newspaper and this is also how she finds out about it.
They do go talk to Glacier, but that happens after the Maria Ross stuff.[/details]
I see. Doesn’t sound that serious to me as how people have been perceiving it, IMO. Though it’s kind of interesting why they went for that instead; perhaps for cliffhanger purposes?
If you’ve been watching the series take note that there’s 2 different groups subbing the series. The one that has actually been doing the decent job are ‘these guys’. I had realized that Watchanimenow was posting up either or probably depending upon which one was put up first when my girl was complaining about horrible translations as well.
So is Eclipse Fan-Subs the other group doing the series? Because I’ve been downloading their stuff but if it’s a bad translation I will switch to Tomodachi.
my guess is they did it for dramatic effect, finding out so suddenly and then the scene where he’s running down the alley looked like it was all for the sake of animating shock anger and confusion.
I’ll catch up to the manga next week, but am catching up on the anime now.
…and Hawkeye’s encounter with Barry was hilariously awesome.
Oh and Mei is soooooo cute =3
EDIT: Watching Ep. 15 and a few odd things-
1- Ed sliding/surfing on the metal pipes seemed illogical
2- Why is the old guy unable to catch up to Al and Panninya? Despite his old age he should be fast enough to catch up to them, I mean Al’s a giant chunk of metal he can’t be THAT fast.
…but still fun ep., and Ling is as awesome as always.
