Well this doesn’t seem worth the pick-up, which sucks, I need something to revive my love for DC. Seriously I haven’t picked up a DC comic (Either single issues or TPB) in a few months, and I honestly don’t care. Everything they are doing currently just seems like a bad rip-off of what Marvel is doing.
It’s like Marvel comes out and say’s “We plan to kill like ten people in our next major event.”
Then DC just comes up “Oh yeah?! Well we plan to kill all our heroes, top that shit son!”
Seriously Final Crises was already spoiled in my wizard. Evil wins, heroes die, end of story. What the hell is the point?

True Zephy, but after flipping through it the issue didn’t appeal to me. I will however buy the second and see if it picks up speed. Batman R.I.P might get me motivated in DC again, just wish there was more interesting work. After Wally left Flash and Green Arrow died I kinda slumped out of DC.
Anyway “gripes” are generally subjective and the other people here didn’t seem like they have a problem with that gripe of mine.
I did try to end the hostility by commenting about who libra is only to send a reply intended to make me reply back (not that I’m saying it’s a bad thing) but even if i was in the wrong, the notion of “yeah because you were Btching like a BTch” realization you’re pondering about me, doesn’t add up to anything worth of value to this…

I am more concerned with the DCU post-FC, will it really reboot everyone this time Properly, will they just properly retconned backstories while moving forward, Will Superman and Lois Status quo be brought back to pre-marriage/secret revelation? who will Batman be? Is there a long term editorial decision change… proper treatment of their B-heroes? how they will change their attitude towards quality in media expansion?.
most of all will there be a proper Marketing change.

FINAL CRISIS is set to build up hard…Imma give it time…but im thinking that there is noway it will EVER!!! EVER!!! be a excalation point and add finallity on DEATH OF THE NEW GODS…
I’m willing to give DC the benefit of the doubt with FC but so far there are no OMG moments that should entice the readers to look forward to the next issue, this is a maxi-series so building up hype is more necessary.
Right now the only other DC title I’m interested in aside from All Star Superman is The new Braniac Story Arc from Action comics.
Im with you there. I forced myself recently regarding DC to catch up in what the hell is going on. I just finished 52 (yep read all four vols since this past saturday and just drop them off in the library.) and hopefully i can catch up with countdown. I wanted to give this a chance but my disgrace with IC just got not hoping too much because it is all based on that in some form.
