The official Final Crisis thread

I think FC #1 should have been renamed to Countdown to Final Crisis #-1.

Thats cold

I cared gawt dammit:crybaby:

You don’t count

SOmething a deadpool fan would say

Are you referring to him being a marvel fan boy or complimenting him on Deadool wit? :razzy:

Deadpool wit

I just find it funny that people are complaining about continuity regarding SI #1, yet absolutely ignores it with Final Crisis #1.

I mean Superman doesn’t even remember that he witnessed the deaths of most of the new gods. He knows Infinity Man did it, and yet he isn’t like investigating it.

And the Guardians are surprised that Orion died… when they totally ignored the death of all the other new gods?

I trust Grant Morrison, though.

To be fair, the Guardians were sort of dealing with a war against the Sinestro Corps, at the time. >_>

Care to explain the one about Superman?

Supes was hiding in the FOS from the horrors of Countdown

It could just be Morrison using Superman as a mean to explain to new readers who exactly the New Gods are, ignoring continuity. Of course, it is possible that death of the Fourth World has caused the rest of reality to somehow forget most of their dealings with the New Gods. I can’t think of anything else that would make sense. I mean Orion and Big Barda were part of the freaking JLA once; in Morrison’s own run, none the less. The continuity discrepancy will likely be addressed in a future issue of Final Crisis, knowing Morrison.

Fck the New Gods and Fck DC continuity… (it’s a damn comic book so Stories and Plot >>>>>>>> Continuity and to some extent characterization)

I Just wish DC would go back to being DC and not being an overall Marvel rip-off when it comes to the dance.

DC really has piss-poor marketing, they should instead create dissatisfaction with marvel style storytelling the same way marvel’s smart marketing made the 1960’s better plotted DC books look like child stuff compared to marvel’s less plot but more character driven style… marvel was brilliant.

Unlike Kane I won’t nitpick about continuity. Marvel and DC BOTH just F*cks up way too much these days (*cough ultimate universe, one more day)

BTW yeah I didn’t care that much for J’onn but I also didn’t care much for the New Warriors C-listers dying as well… Ironically I cared for Earth-2 Lois dying more than the two combined.

Libra WTF that’s a way obsolete JLA villain from the Gardner Fox era… no build up.

The only intersting side-story to FC is Legion of 3 worlds, and it might even be more interesting than FC itself the same way that IMO Villains united and Superman: Infinite Crisis storyline makes the actual Infinite Crisis look pathetic.

Apparently alot of the fans do care about the New Gods and DC continuity.

Hey if we follow by your rule, Libra is okay… Since we don’t care about continuity right?

No. my gripe about Libra has more to do with him being obsolete rather than it having anything to do with continuity.

We got a first victim, As i stated the Crisis concept was bastardized to no end, so when we get a first issue about another of those “trends” it just reinforces my notion about DC being too much about death and the whatnot.

Then stop reading it. If you don’t like the story, then don’t.

And how was Libra obsolete, btw?

Grant Morrison has been knowned in bringing back old villains and turning them into a threat(ie The Key)

countdown, the fastest retcon ever?

Who is Libra?

[details=Spoiler]Rumors are floating around that Barry Allen is Libra.

[/details]

He liked appeared in one JLA story, I didn’t say I fully didn’t like it, it was just a Gripe anyway I really don’t read what I find crap (X-men titles for example) I’m just pessimistic about Crisis and the DCU nowadays in general. but i don’t totally hate it.

BTW it is an interesting theory that the Buried Alien would be Libra, although in DC zero.he came back in a bolt of lightning while the secret society were having a conregation.

Libra being a old and forgotten about villian definitaly gives this a better edge…as soon as I heard his name in a Grant Morrison interview I went out and did some reserch on him…the unknown is always great…Im haveing a little bit of a problem getting over DARKSEID being negro gangster now…but ive got hopes that this series will be good…just wish there was a way they could broing back METRON
