Good shit Northwest! I was able to catch some of the matches from the shitty/lagtastic stream.
LOL @ the NW cheering squad during Pablo’s and Mechanica’s matches. Mechanica, you had some nice momentum in the beginning of your match vs. the Japanese Dan (Ryu player). I hope you’re not too down about losing…Dan is a Grand Master Ryu in Japan, and can usually have beastly win streaks in the arcades here. Seeing as he’s Daigo’s protege, he definitely has one of the finest Ryu’s. Also congrats to Trace for making it so far!
Although Team Northwest got swept in the 5v5, I thought all of you guys put on a pretty stellar performance. I was particularly impressed by King’s and Scrubbydan’s efforts. Good shit guys!
Not related to the NW, but man, Sabre from the wildcard team had a NASTY ass Sakura. The fact that he was able to take out Valle and Gootecks was very impressive. It almost reignites my passion to practice with Sakura. I really wish I could have been a part of the NW cheering squad. Hopefully next year!
