I never got Melty Blood because it was already out on console and PC for the longest time. Guilty Gear was also another problem, there are constantly new versions of this game coming out each 6 months. Talk about waste of money and no returns!

You’re talking inferior versions buddy. Version A was in arcades for the past two years, I remember asking about it back in the summer of 2005. You said the same about Slash back then as well. I can pull up the EXACT thread where I went crazy saying that you’d be getting it in.
There was no console port until July of last year, and even then now the console port is yesterday’s news. You don’t think people would practice up at home to come to CF? I mean every game you have in there is available on console, so what’s the point?
If you had the game I guarantee you the MB crew would flock there every weekend. Why would anyone stay at home if you’ve got actual social interaction with your favorite game involved at one of the last arcades in the country?
Regardless of that, there’s already rumors floating about that AH is going to get a revision, as it’s only the right thing to do from the looks of scene in Japan. If it’s broke, fix it.

The kicker is that AC and MB have obvious communities established already. The GG community is over half a decade old, and the MB community is probably 2-3 years old now. You KNOW this, thus you know you would have guaranteed money going into the machine.
Arcana has no established scene whatsoever and is brand new so how are you going to see a return with that? It will take time of course, and [-I-] we’re grateful as hell that you have it, but the logic is lopsided really.
Upgrades are considerable after a return but not considerable when there is none. I have less interest in Melty Blood than Guilty Gear and I’ve been playing games since I was walked in CF in 1991. If Melty Blood can’t appeal to me or a spot in Evo, I definately know it’s not going to bring in profit for it’s cost. Guilty Gear was at CF before, no one played it that often, thus GG won’t be seeing a return. I’m not here to buy games for a select few so it can appease them for 1 day out of the week! I’m here to pay the greedy landlord his rent and to earn PROFIT!

I don’t see how you got interested in AH either as its ten times the ‘anime gay’ then Melty Blood and GG put together. I’m also not saying you should be buying games for a select few, but I’m attempting to appeal to your thirst for profit by showing you that you’re guaranteed a return for those games.
But whatever, I don’t want to make it as if I’m ungrateful because I think it’s awesome you got the game (I wouldn’t have spent 18 hours and $30+ last weekend if I wasn’t) so I’ll leave it at that.

Look, I don’t know the situation on CF, or whats been going on with it, because I only learned about the freaking place like 2 months ago. All I know is that they provided a game that peaked my interests, and actually made me travel for. I can understand the logic behind not wanting to get MBAC/GGXAC, because nobody could truthfully predict when the next revision were to come out (correct me if I’m wrong). I’m not the harcore GGX/MB player, so I would have never traveled for the game if my life depended on it. The reason why I decided to take a shot at Arcana was becaus the game was new. New games mean that I have an equal shot at becoming a good player along with everyone else. How does it feel to step into the MvC2 scene in 2006 when it started way back in 1999?
All I’ve gotta say that you did good in selecting Arcana, that you’ve accomplished a mission that nobody else could get my cooperation in. I’ll continue to go there as long as I’ve got two feet, and I guess thats all that matters in the arcade business.

And if this was true…think Yuki might pull a fast one like Ecole did with MB:AC, putting Ver. B (plus A) for the inevitable home console port, and then re-porting Ver. B back to arcades later…?
I really don’t care at this point, I just want this game to come to PS2 ASAP. Not like there’s any place near me (MD) that’s probably going to get the arcade version any time soon…

Today’s Austin report-
- True to form, Marn immediately switched to Kamui after the major beatdowns yesterday D: I guess even top tier Konoha is too much work ;(
- I played Heart for most of the evening and completed like ONE combo and didn’t really get to practice very much, no thanks to there being TWO Kamui players ;( Towards the end of it, I fixed my initial problem (doing the 6D cancel properly) but then I kept messing up the IAD. I’ll get it down sooner or later.
- Went through all of the Arcanae and landed several of the summons. It’s shorter to list the ones I didn’t hit with- plant, magic/poison, swordshield (blocked each time). Notable moments were landing a crossup with Bhangri (lightning) into like 75% damage, hitting runaway Maori with Bhangri while she was at the top of the screen, and actually getting timefreeze off.
- fubar tried out some Maori today and decided he doesn’t like her very much after all.
Overall, Marn had the most wins with Gier/dark Kamui. It was a lot of fun messing around with system stuff and playing with guard/homing cancelling in various situations. Would like to hit some combos eventually, though.
Sorry, I don’t want homeless people coming in with 2 tokens and playing Arcana Heart. I want this machine bum and smell free!
