Chibi, lets start saving up to get our own Arcana Heart. 
But right now, I’m pushing my arcade to get it, since they’re already getting MBAC ver.b and GGAC. If they can somehow get Arcana, I’ll sacrifice myself to the god only known as “Yoriko’s staff.” They are really kicking toddler-butt right now, and I don’t want it to stop.

a) I’ve already read that article (hell I was looking at the actual Arcadia copy) 
It’s harder than it looks! But yeah Mei-Feng should be fun once I get the ball rolling, just need to get used to everything first.
b) impressions- it’s like Hokuto no Ken with middle school girls and no Fatal KOs. Definitely more technical than it looks, which is fine by me. Throws don’t seem that great (feels like you have to wait forever before you can throw someone out of blockstun and the range is eh), command throws are an entirely different beast of course. I like the way the game flows, and boost/homing-cancel/FLY is like the most fun basic system thing ever.
Konoha is a stupid stupid character but not anything close to unbeatable (especially if the guy playing doesn’t think his pressure through very carefully). Kamui just requires you to play different, which is hard because she has so many tools on both offense and defense. I think of her as like Kula + Chun-li, whereas Konoha is like what Toki would be if ArcSys was like “let’s pretend we tried to balance him.” Yoriko wears glasses. Mei-Feng is a robot. Lilica wears shorts.
I’m really enjoying the game thus far, even more than I thought I would. I need another session or so to start getting my homing cancel combos down and then I’ll be set to compete for realz with Mei-Feng (as opposed to beating Marn’s Konoha down like 20+ to 2 with Kamui ;( )
c)fubar used his magic and unlocked Fiona by himself. None of us has messed with her or her Arcana much yet, though I might give her Arcana a whirl sometime soon.

The thing that throws me off about that “tier” list is that there’s no char/Arc listing, just character.

That’s because almost the entire cast is best with fire. Kira + rock (seems to be the consensus), Kamui + time(?), and maybe 1-2 people with dark… and even then, fire is really really good for all of these characters as well.
Pretty much fire is the top tier arcana right now ;(
That said, the other arcanas offer a lot of benefits that may or may not fit your playstyle more, or offer you some interesting tricks/gimmicks to play with. Also some arcanas seem better for certain matchups. Lightning, love, and dark are all pretty popular.
Today’s character usage in Austin was-
fubarduck: love Yoriko, fire Kamui (for a joke match). Good zoning/poking but mostly good use of homing/guard cancels to keep us on our toes, and doing 20(no meter, knockdown)-40%(with meter) whenever he touched us.
Marn: fire/dark Konoha (mostly fire to start off with, mostly dark after fire got RAPED D: ), fire Kamui (immediate loss!). Had some decent stuff going with dark, but didn’t change up his game enough to keep up towards the end.
CD: time/fire/wind/stone Kamui (mostly stone), fire Mei-Feng, fire Lilica, stone Kira. The only person who couldn’t do homing cancel combos off of sweeps today =(
Biggest winstreaks were ~13 (fubar with love Yoriko) and 10 (CD with guard cancel super, cut short 'cuz we left to go eat).
Tomorrow I will practice my combos more. Also I will play TIME KIRA.
Kira with dark now too, thanks to that fish loop.

Top arcanas for the characters that i see used:
Heart - Electric/Love
Saki - Electric
Lilica - Electric/Water
Kamui - Dark/Water
Konoha - Dark/Water/Fire
Maori - Time/Love
Lies - Fire/Dark
Kira - Dark/Rock/Fire
Yoriko - Fire
Mei Fang - Fire
Fiona - Dark
Half the cast doesnt even use Fire that well. The other ones like Konoha and Kira use Dark better. Lies, Yoriko, and Mei Fang are really the only ones who fire is best for. No character is WEAK with it, but the best arcana for the character? Def not.
Yeah I never tried Maori with Time. Was considering it. I usually do water and fire. I like water better. I’m considering dark, but im also considering uhh…FUCK I forgot what it was.

Surprising to see water pop up so often. It’s got an interesting effect but I didn’t think it was THAT good, ya know?
In any case, I’ll probably just need more exposure to more players, right now love and stone are “dominating” in Austin ;(
