I cut the plexi myself. I dont get really get home depot to do much. I got a huge sheet of plexi for 45 dollars ( about 30 US). It is 4 ft x8 ft. So i m pretty sure home depot would tell me to piss off if i brought that in.
Anyone know how to wire perfect 360 joysticks to a mad catz dreamcast pad? I was thinking of buying one but wasn’t sure if I’d be able to wire them correctly. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
I’ve never hacked a Mad Catz DC pad, so I couldn’t tell you. Nevertheless, you can get a continuity tester and find the 5v on the pcb. Here is a site that shows the 5v as it comes into the pcb.
http://mc.pp.se/dc/controller.html
The 5v connection is mainly used to power the vmu. Again, you can use a tester to find the 5v on the VMU connections and solder off that.
If you don’t know what you are doing, you can blow your DC controller ports.
Now, if you don’t want to do this, another option is to buy a 5v power supply from radioshack and plug the 360s into the wall independant of the DC power. This is actually a better option if you are doing combo sticks, because you don’t have to worry about finding a 5v soldering point from every pcb that you hack.
Edit: Aside from having to find a 5v power from somewhere, all other instructions that you will find should stay the same. Check out CD Vision’s page for the Mad Catz PCB hack.
the happ site has been down all day?
i’m going to try to get a hack started soon for an xbox stick.
a couple questions i’ve got
the reflex arcade stick DOES work with the p360?
anyone have the dimensions, or better yet, a template, of the mas box?
ATTN p360 Gurus
I had just recently got a p360 for my joystick. i made the stick with the psx1000 pad. i got a mutlimeter from roadio shack.
my question is how do i find the +5V?
do i set the tester on AC or DC?
Which lead do i use? the red one or black? both?
Do i just point on all the solder points?
sorry i never used a mulitmeter before.
also on the p360.
it says face the eletrical part to the players right side.
does that mean palce the part with the up,down, left, right conections to the players right or the part with the ground and +5V to the players right?
Thanks

Thats really funny, I never thought of hacking the Jstick and buttons out of that stick lol. Too good man, I personally dont like that stick, but if you do they more power to you! And I thought I had seen it all. How the fuck did you fit a new controller in there? I took my agetec apart and it was tight as hell in there! I respect the skills!
is there any specific type of wire that is preferred?
Hey where did that Sav Stick thread go?
in home depot, you can get it custom cut b4 you leave the store…
i usually buy small ones so i could easily get them cut… i don’t make alot… so i buy the smallest rectangles.
I’m looking for an image pointing out a 5v connection on any psx/ps2 pcb.
The link on the second page doesn’t have the image anymore.
hey, where do you guys get the promotional posters that you put on your sticks? I wanna customize mine and get rid of the plain black color.
Nearly all of mine come frome internet wallpaper sites, because they are the only pics I have found that have enough resolution to get blown up and still look good.
is a Redoctane stick any good itself?!
Most people use 20 or 22 gauge wire.
Is it possible to make a converter for the DC stick so you can play on the computer?
yeah, thanks:)
I just got my competition stick in and it came with this little thing i was suppose to put on the botom called the E-ring…and i lost it…was it important…?
E-ring or C-clip?
if it was the C-clip then you besta look for it!!. .Thats the only thing holding your joystick together! without it you’ll just be able to lift the stick right outta your box…
