That sentence is long enough to be almost incomprehensible.
Start by troubleshooting the Imp first, followed by the Cthulhu and lastly the 360 pcb.
sorry toodles it was late and grammar went out the window. Is there a specific way to trouble shoot this problem. If the 360 Board is dead would that cause the cthulhu not to work on the PS3? I have tried tried removing the usb cord of the IMP and attaching it to the cthulhu directly but that did not work. Is it possible to blow one of the chips from the Imp or the cthulhu I did stupidly solder a point while the usb was plugged in Do. I need to just start chopping wires? Sorry for all the questions I do appreciate your knowledge Thanks again.
imp[ womt work
i have a chtuhla withe a madcats wired pigggybacked on in. i also installed an imp to witch between them. , but the ps3 works & the xbox just flashes all 4 player lights . need som help please.
just ordered mine, and canāt wait to get started!
The controller port information like on the SIXAXIS doesnāt come through the wired connection. The Cthulhu doesnāt have a clue what port its connected to, so there is no way to pull that off that I know of. There are tons of light up LED mods doable. Check TingBoyās light up LED thread for more information.
So youāre saying the Cthulhu works and the Imp that it goes through works but the 360 doesnāt?
If your not using the screw terminals whut is the best way to solder wires from the MC Cthulhu to the Imp Board
Both Upside down and when down just flip over and screw down or
360 PCB upside down and the Cthulhu top view
Soldered all the wires onto the 360 PCB on the TE Stick and just wanted to know before I solder the other ends to the MC Cthulhu Board
Iād really like to dual mod my TE - xbox/ps3, but I am so scared. I took a look at bombermanās guide but stillā¦
Honestly, is it any hard? considering I TOTALLY suck. I got 0 exp with this kind of stuff (soldering etc)
Good Luck
You can buy a 30 watt Soldering iron from Home Depot or Radio Shack
And make sure to buy a fine tip and Tip Tinner & Cleaner as well or you can use a wet sponge to clean off the tip when done.
Practice soldering before you attempt to do this.
Hereās a great video on soldering

I practiced on my old Computer motherboard and if you still donāt feel comfortable then look at the trade outlet and there should be someone who will do it for you but for a price. But if you feel comfortable after practicing & researching & willing to do without the warranty. Then first
Take apart the Joystick to its bareshell

Take pics and draw pics if necessary to remember where stuff goes back
Putting together the MC Cthulhu & Imp Board is easy the longest time will be spent soldering
Here is a updated wiring diagram

Quick Noob Answer
Just need to know there is alot of different pics of various setups
I wanted to know how to go about and solder the wires from the 360 PCB on a TE STick to the MC Cthulhu.
Was going to mount my MC Cthulhu to the left of the 360 PCB so would I solder with both boards upside down
Any input Toodles or anyone else thanks
Toodles
Iāve look around this thread and have not found an answer (I havegone through quite a few pages.)
nor was it in the first post.
Dose MC cthulu board work on ps2?
Edit
how did i missed that =/
Also, I checked Lizard lick for MC board but I could only find the Ps3/PC version.
Are they being sold on lizard lick.
"Q: What consoles will it work on?
A: Currently, the MC Cthulhu will work on the PS3 (with all of the functionality of the original PS3 Only Cthulhu), Xbox1, Playstion/Playstation 2, and Gamecube. Playstation support appears to work well with many converters.:
This was listed on the first page of this thread
Can someone please answer my question listed above
Thank you so much, RemzRR. Iāll make the leap
You dont have to take apart the joystick to its bareshell thou you can unscrew the it from the top. This is if your concerned about warranty but I dont think that matters since there is so much epoxy/glue on the screws itself they should be able to tell if you unscrewed it
Finished mine carefully following Fauxās Wiring Diagram
But when testing it on a Windows XP Pro SP3 computer
It recognizes it as a āUnknown USB Deviceā and nothing shows up for game controllers.
Not recognized by the PS3 or the Xbox either.
I am going to doublecheck the wiring right now
On Bombermanās guide he points to Ground & VCC at the bottom of the board but this doesnt relate to the Faux wiring diagramā¦I did not connect these 2 points labeled Ground & Vcc at the bottom other than that everything is connected following Fauxās diagram

I have VCC going from the MC Cthulhu Board to the 5V on the 360 PCB (Where the usb cable was cut)
I have the VCC on the Imp going to the Column Labeled V Row 1
Both have been tested ok with a Ohmās meter
Any help would be appreciated
Do I need to buy anything except the cthulu itself?
And can I pay for it all today?
Iām turning a 360 TE into a 360/PS3 only.
You can buy the kit which is cheaper and easy to assemble
You donāt need the usb connector if you plan on using the same one that came with it
The screw terminal you can use but if your working with small wire it might not screw down properly
Get the imp also if you want to not have a switch use the same usb cable
Iām probably buying it assembled.
So 1 cthulhu and 1 imp kit is the bare minimum?
After that all I need is a screwdriver?
Yeah and the necessary tools since u mentioned a screwdriver
which would be 26 or 30AWG Wire Kynar is a good brand
Soldering iron & solder even though the kit comes with the screw terminals you will still have to do some soldering on the 360 PCB itself
