You can solder the wires to the terminals on the switch underneath each button, but using female quick disconnect terminals (fast-ons) is preferred due to ease of use. They can be crimped and optionally soldered to the wire.

See “Terminal crimper tool” thread for pics

Thanks everyone!

I wanted to know, can you pick up the connectors at Home Depot or Lowes or do you need to get them online or at a specialty store?

Most of them will have them, but not always in the correct size. You need .110 for Sanwa.

My local hardware store only had .250 last time I checked.

Oh I thought the .110 was universal for the buttons. What size fits on the Seimitsu PS-14-KN?

I think .110 will also fit for Seimitsu buttons

Yeah, japanese buttons are .110, american are .187. Some others are soldered (Crown, for example)

Both the 0.110" and 0.187" fit on a .020" thick tab. Don’t get the 0.032" tab ones, they’ll be loose.

I’m planning to dual mod a 360 TE with a Cthulhu, and I know both PCB is common grounded, is that mean the power source ground is the same as button signal ground?

is that mean i only have to connect power source ground between 2 PCB and they are common grounded? or do I still need to connect both signal ground between 2 PCB?

also, is a 22 AWG wire will suit into those terminal and fit the solder point?

Yup.

22 gauge will fit in the screw terminals fine. I dont understand the other questions. Take a peek at faux123’s and Bomberman’s guides. Everything you need should be there.

I’m looking to add a Cthulhu to my 360 TE so I can have either Gamecube or PS2 connectivity.

Does anyone have any pics of their TE with Cthulhu installed so I can get an idea of what it should look like? I’m more of a visual person.

QUESTION:
anyone know what those two rows at the end of the cthulhu are for? and their label/diagram? seems like they’re more button soldering points but I’m not sure. I see some people use them when modding dual pcb. the pix on the first page doesn’t have them labeled.

Welcome sheet, first post.

Will it work on wii with a gamecube cable?

If the game supports GameCube controllers, sure.

Just got my Cthulu and Imp. That was fast! Ordered Thursday night arrived today.

Hey Toodles, On both the Cthulu & Imp their packaging had some slight tears in them them . Were they shipped that way ? Just b/c the box was perfectly fine and the stuff was packaged beautifully.

Anyway , thanks a lot!

The packaging had tears? I do have a problem with some bags tearing near the zip lock; the lock is sometimes stringer than the bag around it. Were there any problems with the contents?

Nope they both seemed fine. It almost looked as if they got smashed a bit and torn little holes in the clear part of the packaging. But I’ll say again the box was in perfect condition.

I’m giving all the stuff to someone to dual mod my TE. If he has any problem I will let you know.

I’ll take some pics w/my crappy camera phone before I hand the stuff off.

Thanks again.

this question is prolly been covered on this very long thread,

i dont really have the time to go thru all the pages,

on my current stick i have cthulu board with iL/happ competition joystick and iL/happ competition pushbuttons, i currently want to upgrade to Happ " Perfect 360 " joystick, i hear that its quite hard to wire up the Happ Perfect 360 stick

so my question is

can i wire the Happ perfect 360 joystick on my fully assembled PS3 Cthulu board?

and if theres a tutorials thread for it, or something like that, plz link me also

  • thanks
