I am very sorry if this is a common question, but how might I add a playstation-type cord to my stick so i can use DC/GC converters?
I just put together my first stick with a Cthulhu board, and was wondering how to do that.

You canât. The Cthulhu is for PS3 and PC.
Thanks toodles for your reply.
This is the opposite result of what I wanted, I had a thread up for a long time, trying to gather info, before I brought one of these. I saw that it was a usb pcb, but thought I could use some of the old stuff from my Mayflash stick.
Hey toodles,
I donât know if this was asked before and since I have to electric background, I want it to ask something:
If I stripped a PS2 pad wire and hook it up to your board then used a USB to plug it to Xbox 360, will it work? will prolly not but why not?
No. If you want a detailed explanation why, please post up a detailed explanation about why you think it might work, and Iâll point out any errors.
Does anyone know where you can find those screw down terminals? Iâve tried look at Fryâs and Radioshack and couldnât find any.
Where are you cats buying your parts from?
Chad has them listed right under the kits:
http://www.lizardlickamusements.com/pages/boards.shtml
But most people are getting the assembled version which already has them installed.
Sup Toodles, I was thinking about modding my VFHG stick with your cthulhu pcb but I want to keep the original usb cable from the stick. There are 5 wires coming out of the cable white, red, green, black and thick black. could you help me identify what the properties of these wires are so I can solder them on to the board?
and when is lizard lick going to have some dissembled boards for sale? and lastly, could you put a credit card next to the pcb so I have a better idea of how big the board really is? I canât find a quarter when i need it.
Easy 'nuff. If you get a kit instead of an assembled one, the spots for the USB cable are already labelled with their function (VCC, GND, D+, D-) and their color (green, white, etc. ) on the board itself. You donât usually see it on boards because the USB jack covers them, but its easy to see without the jack on, or in the welcome doc linked in the first page.
Just make sure to short the âUSB Onlyâ jumper when you assemble it. The âthick blackâ wire is the cable shielding. You can connect it to any point in the G column, or ignore it entirely; your call.
I sent him a bunch yesterday, so Iâd expect them to arrive Thursday. As for the size of the board, its definitely smaller than a CC; exact measurements are available in the awesome picture Per took and labelled up. Check the last link in the very first post.
I actually bought an assembled board (great product!) but wanted some extra screw down terminals for a LED board to light up my buttons. I have everything for the LED board and would rather use screw-in terminals instead of soldering the wires directly to the board.
Radio Shack carries them:
Thanks Toodles. My local RS didnât have them in stock so I assumed RS didnât carry them. Using the stock checker on the website though let me find one that had them in stock and I got some.
Thanks again.
Toodles, are you still accepting trades? If so, what is the updated trade list please.
First post.
i must say, im quite tempted to pick up a board just for the sake of one day maybe building a custom stick. Im just now getting into fighting games with SFhd released (and boy do i suck), but so far its been fun playing with my hori sticks (modding my EX2 was pain though). I like that these are so small and so simplified. I only with it had support for xbox⌠that would make having a single stick for both consoles SOOO nice.
Not my fault man. Itâs all Microsoftâs peripheral authentication. Believe me, if it was possible, bet your ass Iâd have it done already.
I know⌠microsoft would rather find a way to make a dime off of everyone who bought one.
i wonder if there is someone on the inside at some 3rd party manufacturer you could pay off for information =P
Here is a crazy idea⌠What if you pull or remove the chip that holds the security code off a 360 pad pcb and wire it to a cthulhu pcb hence having a dual PCB in one? Basiclly destroy a cheap 360 controller and add the chip to a cthulhu⌠Make people pay extra for the 360 pad that got destroyed which most people would gladly do. Or maybe this isnât possible?
Way ahead of ya. I donât need ideas, I need time.
I figured you were⌠Just trying to squeeze some info from your brain⌠LOL
