- No Cthulhu needed, just an axisdapter and a sixaxis for it to go with. This will give you wireless, you can turn on the PS3 wirelessly, and PC support. The catch is though that you have to get SIXAXIS running properly on your PC, which can be difficult. So, grab a sixaxis and a USB cable for it, and do your best to get the pad itself, before hacking, working on the PC. If you get it going on the PC, all your bases are covered, just grab an axisdapter and you’re done. Otherwise, there’s no way to mix a wired cthulhu and a wireless sixaxis.
- Using just the axisdapter and sixaxis, of course. You’ll have to do that to recharge th battery and for syncing.
- Man, a guy just can’t get any credit around here.
Thank you. =) Took me all of 2 mins to find a drive for my sixaxis.
If I broke my Cthulhu by plugging in two cords on a dual mod at once is it salvageable? Windows does not recognize it anymore.
Way too many unknowns there for anyone to know for sure. Go through the troubleshooting page on the first post.
New problem. It seems that on the imp board when checking for resistance between PIC 10 and 2D +, Windows 7 happens to recognize a USB device but when I don’t have the multimeter on both it doesn’t recognize anything. Is there anything I could do about that? It’s giving me -8.2 Ohms when testing PIC 10 and 2D +.
so… i was thinking… the MC Cthulhu can work as PS2 stick right?
I’m somewhat considering moding a lot of my ps3 sticks with a MC Cthulhu (PS2) and just using adapters for PS3 and 360 support. Has the MC cthulhu been tested with the new 360 adapters that, so far, seem to be input drop/lag free? Im sure its a better question for the converter thread, but im thinking about it hard atm.
I know, I know Toodles. You’ve probably had to answer this question more than once, but I need to hear it from you:
I have the Xbox 360 TE stick and I was wondering, with the MC Cthulhu and the Imp board, I could use it on the PS3? After discovering this dual mod option, I really don’t want to spend another 149.99 on another stick
So what I’m getting is I use the “PS3-Only” Cthulhu board and Imp board for the 360 TE stick? The PS3-Only Cthulhu board and Imp board the only thing I have to buy?
I have not heard anything about whether or not PSX support works on the new 360 converter.
Alright, Im working on tweaking board layouts at the moment. If you have any complaints or ideas on how the boards could be made better (within reason. I can’t do 360 FFS.) please post them up. I’ll be placing orders for pcb’s on Monday, so if you have ideas on how it could be made better, go for it.
A couple of things I’m working on:
-Expanding the unlabelled holes so that all of the points possibly needed for dual modding are all there.
-Enlarging the holes and pads of the four holes under the USB jack so connecting existing USB wires to them (TE/SE mod for instance) is easier
-a couple of other perks I don’t want to mention yet
Did you see my idea for a variant of advanced Smash mode where Smash/Run is default and you have to hold a button to walk instead?
Making Tilts more difficult to do that than Smashes? Making down tilts almost impossible on drop down-able platforms?
Beside, simple mode is much more fun IMHO over advanced mode.
Reposting so it doesnt get lost on the end of the previous page.

This group of MC Cthulhu’s I’ve been using aren’t compatible with the Innovation PS2->DC converter. Is there a way to make it compatible again?
Also, is there a way to make the holes bigger, the unlabeled ones where the xbox 360 wires go for a dual mod “A thru H and 1 thru 9”
I suppose my only wishlist item is make sure ps2 support works with new 360 adapters ^_^;;
I’ve got a XFPS white (2nd generation) I’ll test this out later. I’ve got 3 different MC Cthulhu’s to try it out on.
UPDATE1Yup it works, but of course the XFPS lags.
UPDATE2 Oh wait…new 360 converter?! This one? http://www.goldenshop.com.hk/AI-trad/xb360/xconverter.htm
Been a while since I checked out the pad scene. Wish I could SATURN PAD->360 without having to hack up a godlike controller.
Hey quick question. I searched the thread but couldn’t find a concrete answer. On lizardlick it says the assembled MC Cthulhu is completely solderless. I’m just wondering whether that pertains to installation as well. In other words, if I were to install it in my Madcatz SE stick, would I need to solder anything? Thank you.
You could try ShinJN’s way…
An assembled Cthulu comes with screw terminals for installing your stick and button. So that part is solderless. If you wish to add other consoles to the stick, you’ll still need to solder one of the rows on the PCB.
Speaking of that…Toodles, why not make a MC Cthulu with screw terminals on the Mutli-Console rows? XD
