Very nice man, yeah I live right by a small public library, it has like an 8 foot section for graphic novels but the stuff it does have is pretty good stuff

Nah, MSU Special Collections predates me by a long time. They have just about any noteworthy comic I can think of… quite literally. It’s like the Chamber of Souls, except for nerds and people with doctorates. (The two groups are not mutually exclusive.)
Good work, my man. It’s a shame that DC never bothered collecting Bru’s final issues on Catwoman. The Wild Ride TPB is a nice ending, but even when you just read it you know that there is more to the story. On the downside, Bru’s last few issues got screwed over because of some Batman crossovers and some horrible art by Paul Gulacy which absolutely ruined the tone of the scripts. There were a couple issues that had some nice Sean Phillips and Kano art, so those are still worth tracking down.
So do you lend out comics you read on the crapper to other people? I like to read my comic book issues on the toilet, but I tend not to read TPBs or hardcovers while I take care of business. I think it’s because I feel like the issues are more expendable and I don’t wanna contaminate my TRADES, BABY.
Although this one time, I let a buddy borrow my Bendis Daredevil HC and he told me he read it while he took a forty-minute dump after he got some food poisoning. I flipped out and punched him in the throat, and then I pooped in his mouth.
It’s true. I saw the pictures in the other thread. If there’s anyone who can possibly own more hardcovers than I have paperbacks, it could very well be P.Gabby. If your room burned down, I would cry.
i just reread punisher max: mother russia. did they ever realease a fury max series? i seem to remember hearing something about that but not too sure. if they did i need to track that down
Yeah there is a Fury max series. The storyline’s kinda “meh”, but the action and violence is on par with the Punisher Max stuff, maybe a bit more extreme. Its worth a look for sure.
Fury MAX was a great read from Ennis/Robertson. Those guys always do great work together. It’s more of a black comedy in line with MK Punisher, only with the violence and vulgarity of a MAX title. Here’s an interesting article about that mini (do be aware it contains spoilers):
Ennis and Robertson also did a more serious Fury miniseries under the Marvel Knights imprint. I only read the first couple issues but what I read was excellent. (Been looking out for the TRADE, BABY.)
By the way, Painy, TFAW at Metreon has their final day of operation on April 27th. A couple weeks ago I dropped by and stuff was at 40% off. I went again two days ago and it was at 50% off. They still have a lot of stock, too. Lots of TPBs and HCs worth checking out. I’ll probably try to go there sometime next week right before they close just to see how high the discounts will be.

Nah, I was reading issue 10. There’s no way I’d lend that out to a friend. I’ve already let a few people read my copy of the volume one hardcover, and will probably do the same when volume two comes out in 42 years.

I’m kind of angry that they are continuing Punisher Max after Ennis leaves. Just reading about the next arc is cringe-inducing. Punisher has 6 days to stop a virus that is killing him? wtf is this, crank?

Started slogging through vol. 1 of Busiek’s Avengers Assemble again, about halfway through. Maybe I just dont like the Avengers enough. Cap and Iron Man are cool but the rest are meh and I’ve always hated Thor.
I got some more of the marvel dvd rom sets for my bday: captain america and ghost rider. The ghost rider set doesnt contain the western issues which I thought was a ripoff.
